I remember the first time I went BF shopping with my mom. it was after I was a mom. a little over a decade ago. Even then we were underwhelmed by lines and such. BF shopping has been an event for me for many years although it has been dwindling for me as stores extend their sales to a week long event and deals are less and less impressive. I’ve waited in lines, but not for unrealistic amounts of time (I live in a cold area). I took two of my kiddos out yesterday so they could experience it a bit… but there were zero crowds and we got to the places after they were already open.
I doubt it will be any sort of tradition in the next 3 years but I’m also okay with that… it was fun to experience it while it lasted.
Why bother? The sales are a farce; anything priced at a significant discount is available only in tiny quantities that will be gone before you can get through the door, and the rest is the same old dreck, often with the prices bumped up.
No.
1 store… but I work there…
I did have to go to the grocery store to pick up half and half for the turkey cheddar pie with bacon lattice I’m trying today
What are these ‘stores’ of which you speak??
I hit Aldi, and discovered that’s the best day. No one was there.
@brainmist If no one (like an employee) is there, it saves time checking out.
Still? That implies a time when I did go.
Only once, many years ago, when Circuit City was going out of business in order to buy a digital camera.

I don’t go to stores any other day of the year, why wait until the worst day of the year to go?
Nope that was ruined years ago, should have left it 1 day and limited specials for the “hype” now its just blah deals and not worth the effort.
