Strange twist of timing. I had been a OG VMP for about four years or so. Three weeks ago I cancelled my VMP. So I didn’t really pay attention to the Mehrathon for fear I’d see something I needed and would be on the hook for shipping or membership for at least another month (I did wind up with an IRK, so ya, I’m on the hook for membership for the next month).
My Amz Prime membership expired yesterday. Today, a Woot-off. Again… I’ll be on the hook for shipping or renewing Prime for a month. I better stay away from Woot today.
And of course I can’t resist the temptation. And of course there have been a couple things I wanted to buy. But probably only because I no longer get free shipping. What’s that saying about the heart wants what it can’t have?
@ruouttaurmind that stream deck is a neat piece of gear. I set up a system with the mini a while back and like it. Guess I’m glad I didn’t see it in a wootoff or I’d have one coming too.

Fuck woot. Just tried to buy the General Grievous figure and it wouldn’t let me log in via my Amazon account. Then it kept giving redirect errors. The site just plain sucks. Other than a rare shirt, it’s not worth bothering with anymore.
@cinoclav I have not been able to log into woot via amazon on my laptop for months. I don’t know why it irritates me so much, but it does. Yet, I do nothing about it.
@mossygreen It irritates me when it wanted to charge me $6 for shipping. I tried several times to log out and back in under Amazon and the item sold out.
@cinoclav@mossygreen Have y’all tried clearing your cookies and temporary internet files? If you’re using any blockers such as uBlock Origin or AdBlock, have you tried temporarily disabling them or whitelisting woot.com?
