Sorry to have been a downer. I’d imagine that any date for something fun is also a date for something tragic. We should balance both. Sometimes difficult, I know.
Most of my life, I’ve worn a Star Wars t-shirt on May fourth. I liked this day better ten or so years ago when it belonged to my people. Current levels of commercialization make me sad. Anyway; today I’m at a wedding, and wearing this one under my shirt:
none of the above, but i do know what it is and i don’t think it’s stupid, it’s all in good fun.
today is free comic book day so we’ll be going comic book shopping and later to the movies. nothing to really do with star wars at all except general nerdery i suppose. i was gonna wear my bitch planet leggings but maybe i’ll wear the darth vader ones.
I visited Madness Comics and Games in Plano TX and saw a life sized remote controlled R2D2, got some free comics (Free Comic Book Day!) and bought some games.
This year it’s Free Comic Book Day. So find a shop near you and celebrate there.

I celebrate May the 3rd, May the 4th, May the 5th, …
(any day I wake up with all body parts more or less functioning).
And isn’t tomorrow that day you fill your sink up with mayonaise?
I celebrate my birthday
@tonylegrone
/giphy Happy birthday!
@tonylegrone happy happy!
@tonylegrone I’m usually recovering from mine.
May the fourth be with you - and many happy returns of the day!
@QuietDelusions happy birthday too!
@tonylegrone Happy birthday, I was just going to say I celebrate my Moms B-day… better call her.

It’s a Caturday, so I’ll probably wear one of my Star Cats shirts or something.
@narfcake it’s Saturday so I’ll probably be wearing a cat against my will. At least till I move a little too much and he runs away.
May I quickly go forth to Cinco de Mayo!!!
I take a few minutes at lunchtime to think back to that sunny spring day at Kent State. Jeffery, Allison, William, and Sandra never saw Star Wars.
Ironically, though, they didn’t miss Zabriskie Point or Start the Revolution Without Me.
Sorry be a clowner, but sometimes I can’t resist!

Grumble, mutter, newbies.

I’m Orthodox Jedi so I celebrate on May 25.
My checker at Costco is a traditionalist.
Nothing on the 4th itself but on the 6th thru 10th I enjoy a variety of podcasts talking about it.
I went to the local place for frree comic book day and got some star wars stuff (x-wing minatures game stuff to be specific) for 15% off
Celebrate that its a Saturday and grilled our first burgers of the season.
