Speaker docks!
My argument for speaker docks:

(Admittedly, Meh got a lot more PR mileage out of the last sale day for the Micro… ‘still waiting for the last sale day for the Mini…)

Selecting Purple for the Power Bank was a bit underhanded.
At least 35% of its votes should be “docked” just for that.
@BlueMaple What’s funny is that I almost didn’t go with those particular power banks since they were really kind of crappy. I figured they were visually one of the most recognized versions.

Mehstalker says we’ve sold 26 things where we said “speaker dock” in the title and 44 things where we said “power bank.”
And then 2 things where we accidentally said “powerbank” because we’re not perfect.
@dave I scanned through mehstalker for a few ideas but these two items were the very first that came to mind. I feel they absolutely epitomize old school meh. I almost saved them for last but I figured we’ll start big.

Ooh, we currently have a tie. Just to note, if it ends in a tie, I get the final vote! I can’t guarantee it will end at 12 pm EST, as I may be sleeping. So it’ll end whenever the hell I get to it.

@narfcake Eh, choosing one myself is basically impartial. I’m not choosing sides, just a personal preference like everyone else.
@cinoclav Yes, but by using coinflip, you the goat can instead divert (some) of the blame to the outcome of the coins.
@narfcake But as the goat, I deserve all of the blame! Btw, I’m actually surprised it’s still this close. 15-13 at the moment in favor of speaker docks.

Neoprene cases hold a special place in my heart. So do Zip bags, but where are they? Did you ignore them?
@OldCatLady I didn’t think they were legendary enough to be included. It’s not an item that we’ve seen a lot of either. The one off items like neoprene cases and candy corn have become integral to meh history.
@OldCatLady Oh yeah. I forgot about the ziplock bags. I didn’t buy enough of those and are out. I need more of those.
Wait! Please clarify:
Does “favorite” mean the bought item I get the most enjoyment out of, or the one that most typifies the whole Meh experience?
I voted for power banks because I think the average power bank here is more meh (mehier?) than the average speaker dock sold here.
I couldn’t even tell you in which drawer most of the bought power banks are now languishing in. But the speaker docks I am still mostly using on a regular basis. (Love that little PBX-2 speaker from back in April, once I figured out the controls. Listen to FM radio in the kitchen, and if I want to go to another room or the garage, I just unplug it and tote it along – it’s so light – and the charge seems to last a lot longer than it should. I’ll buy several more of these for gifts, if they come back.)
Maybe I need my vote back.
(And, possibly, some refunds on unused power banks…??)

@cinoclav @shahnm Hmm didn’t think of it that way. Too bad you are pairing the best against each other. Then one will lose way early when it might have made it to the finals. There are studies that show you can strongly influence which will win in tournament voting trees like this based on what you pair against what.
@cinoclav @Kidsandliz @shahnm You mean like how the coaches on The Voice pick some some obvious losers to put up against their favorites in the battle rounds?
@Kidsandliz So I wanted to see some close competition between similarly ranked items for the most amount of days. I figured if I put up Speaker Docks against something like Plasma Lighters, it would be an easy run to the finals for the Speaker Docks. At the very least, the items I considered to be the most popular are going up against strong competition instead of the classic 1 vs 8 style seeding. I’m not expecting many upsets here. Once we get to 8 and 4 I’d expect a projected winner to become clearer.
I voted with a star, scrolled down, and immediately forgot which I chose. So, uh…maybe don’t take my vote too seriously. Power banks by a nose, but…whatever!
