It looks lie pros/cons break down to decent battery life with generally good sound, offset by a bulky micro-USB charging case (albeit with good recharging capacity) and fit issues for some and possible discomfort using in-ear controls. I’ve seem worse for higher prices. Do any Mehtizens have have first-hand reviews? These may be worth revisiting on the ICYMI list.
@earmstrong I picked these up a few months ago and am still pretty happy with them. I did have to take out that piece that’s supposed to help keep them in your ear because it got pretty uncomfortable (I might have small ears though), but I haven’t had any problems with them falling out.
Since these are supposed to be waterproof I use them when I’m washing my face, and after 2-3 months of that they’re still fine. I think I’ve only needed to recharge the case once in that whole time which is nice. The sound quality seems decent to me, though I’m no expert.
My only real complaint is that sometimes when nothing is playing there’s a mildly irritating staticky noise, but it’s not really a big deal. I think I bought these for $25 or so? And would definitely say they were worth it.
I picked these up last time and am in for another pair today.
The discomfort issues that the appleinsider reviewer talked about actually have me convinced that they must have a unusually sensitive outer ear- I had no issues at all. Sound quality is pretty good, not going to take on the best but good enough that these have replaced my BeatsX as my main backup earbuds.
@Purchase_drone I had the same issue, and it seems it’s because the earbuds are too tapped out to start charging normally. I followed the steps on this support page to get them to start charging, and it seems to have worked because the LEDs are doing the slow-blink to indicate they’re charging.
@Purchase_drone@SadEthnicChild I can’t believe this is actually the solution. I had to snap mine in and out about 15 times but now they are actually charging, whoopee.
@dantuba Yeah, they must’ve been sitting in storage a long time, I guess? At least once they finally charged, I got to try them out and their battery life and range were pretty damn good.
@Purchase_drone
What the hell. I really hope this is the problem because I just spent about an hour trying to get them to pair after charging overnight and it was nothing but frustration.

Mine won’t go I to pairing mode, just got them yesterday. I let them charge overnight but they don’t seem to work.

Keep them steady, though–the contact between the earbuds and the charging plates don’t seem to always connect right, despite the magnet.
@SadEthnicChild thank you I’ll give that a try.
