Getting things has limited value as exercise. On the other hand, using those weights, bike, treadmill, etc. (as intended, not as clothes racks and door stops) may count as actual exercise.
Yard work is the most I’ve worked out in a while. My thighs are sore from working in all the different mulched areas on Saturday. The ground was damp so I was pretty much doing squats all day. Ugh.
Standing at your desk is not exactly a workout. You burn like 40 calories per hour standing vs. sitting. Now, get a treadmill desk and you’re in business.
