My daughter had her first baby in March!! She bought the house next door so i can hep her when she had children. Since Covid hit that plan went down the toilet. So for me, the best part of this May is when i can take a walk with my daughter and granddaughter. This is from this morning
@candiedisilvio1 Beautiful baby!! Yup, granddaughters sure are awesome. I hope this thing gets out of here soon so you can get a lot of quality time with her.
Thank you so much @mehcuda67 & @andyw The day that she was born the isolation tents went up at the emergency room. I got to hold her for a few minutes before we were kicked out. Its been hard for her and her husband. I can’t wait to hold her and kiss her little cheeks and be able to help them out
Spring begins in earnest (and here in NJ also). Green in lots of places, flowers, warmer weather, outdoor bike rides, top-down car rides (oops-no convertible since 1972 and few car rides recently).
Why do so many of you want until May to start grilling? We grill and smoke all year long. Snow on the ground, shovel a path. Speaking of which I have 2 racks of ribs on the smoker right now.
@andyw Got one rack with a nice sweet/spicy rub. 2nd rack with a coffee rub. Using a mix of hickory with a little bit of apple wood. Should be done in an hour or so. Just started the ‘drying’ phase. (phases: 1 rub and fester, 2 smoke, 3 wrap in foil with honey, 4 dry)

I’m so happy for Liverpool this year. Even if the Premier League gets cancelled, they’ll make Liverpool the champs.
It’s crazy to think that last year, Liverpool was (arguably) the second-best team ever in the Premier League, only to finish second to City.
@hems79 last year was an amazing year. Any other team in history we probably would have beaten to the title but we finally got good again right when City happened to become impossibly amazing… Lol.
My daughter’s birthday. We’ve had a group party for her and her friends (who also have May birthdays) for the last 13 years straight. Huge family picnic and the birthday girls swap gifts among themselves. Lots less work than 10 individual parties. Not this year. No sweet sixteen celebration
My birthday! (May 2nd)
@Pony Happy belated Birthday!
@Pony Mine too, the 17th! Happy birthday!
@Jamileigh17 @Pony May 26th woo!
Happy Belated Birthday @Pony
@Pony A quite belated Happy Birthday!

@Vrysen I’ll be right over!
@Vrysen What time should I be over? I’ll bring the beer.

@Vrysen Thanks-sounds great, but I saw this too late. Just had great Mexican from a local restaurant that is doing take out.

Kitten Season!
Specifically this is the month that Alligator kittens are born.
/ a lot of cat kittens too
@OnionSoup I googled alligator kitten and saw a Youtube result I didn’t want to see. I am sad now.
What is an alligator kitten?

@dzieciom are baby alligators not called kittens. They should be.
Next I’ll learn that baby snakes are not called snake puppies.

@OnionSoup Alligators are hatchlings via google

@dzieciom lol… Interesting giphy… I didn’t know that’s where snakes hatchlings/puppies came from.
@OnionSoup All puppies come from just below the crotch.
