An "Ask IRK" travesty of wit :-(
1I was going through some Ask IRK archives on YouTube and stumbled upon a travesty of wit… Please say this was some mistake, IRK! Or an unidentified joke, maybe? Take it back!
This article says it well with, ““Baby, It’s Cold Outside” is the story of a woman doing battle — not with a guy who won’t take no for an answer, but with the expectations of a society that won’t take yes for an answer.”
IRK might have even STARTED the whole “rapey” nonsense…

Somehow I highly doubt Irk is popular enough to start that.
@RiotDemon - I hear you, but it was posted in 2014, and that movement didn’t really take hold until 2018 or so. ~4 years is a long time in cyberspace for things to be copied and obfuscated, transferred and mutated into something nearly untraceable.
The oldest and the tallest trees all started out as an unassuming seed at some point. The greatest and worst people all started out as an egg and a sperm. Everything starts somewhere as something that’s essentially unremarkable and indistinguishable from it’s kin. When you take things to the digital world, copying and tweaking is elementary, so even the “location” of that seed can be lost.
@brettpeirce according to wiki it started someone around 2009, so five years before IRK.
@RiotDemon - that would probably rule it out

You may have only heard of the debate about that song this year when it went massively and annoyingly viral, but it’s been going on and widely debated for many years by a lot of people. This video only has about 5600 views, and only four comments, all within the past year or so. I can pretty much guarantee it’s not at fault for what you claim as “‘rapey’ nonsense”.
