I use Aquapel which lasts longer than RainX. I’ve read RainX last longer than Rainbrella. So today I keep my money hoarded in trash bags in the basement with my year supply of food rations and giant bags of water. Piss off, eh.
Just buy a bottle of Turtle Wax Ice Seal N Shine for polishing your car. This is the simplest and cheapest car polish I’ve ever used that you can spray onto your windows to repel water. This easy to apply polish lasts for over 6 months–I applied to my car paint and windows back in September and the water on the window still beads! I see no reason to need to use two separate products for car paint and windows when Seal N Shine works a long time on both. Search YouTube and you’ll find many more car detailers that love this stuff! Check out this review to see how well it works.
@Kerig3 thanks for the tip. I bought some after your suggestion. Unfortunately, it’s more expensive than the guy was saying on the video. Where did you buy yours?
@misobrilliant I got mine at Amazon for under $10, (at the time I paid $9.59) but I’d heard that Walmart carrys it for under $6. Look around, the price fluctuates from time-to-time and by location. Most big-box stores carry it along with auto supply stores.
Follow the directions on the bottle and you’ll like how easy its application is, especially after the first time. I suggest you get some decent, clean microfiber towels for application–it makes the job easier.
@mike808 More expensive in the long run, a bottle of Rain-X lasts a long time. Or you can just wax the windows when you wax your car. For convenience these win.
@mike808@Stallion Totally AGREE. I’ve been using Rain-X since about 1987? Soon after it was first marketed, I’m pretty sure. Rain-X = FANTASTIC product!! Ought to be REQUIRED for EVERY commercial and Government vehicle! I’ve thought so, ever since I first tried it. Some of their spin-off products are good too. In the last year I tried a bathroom shower glass cleaner/scum preventative that seems to work well. This Meh product is a HUGE RIP-OFF compared to how many applications are in the original Rain-X product, and almost as bad, compared to the combo spray-on glass cleaner & rain-shield product (or whatever they call it in the marketing ads) that is available at Target, WalMart, etc. This MAY work as well - who knows - maybe better (but DOUBTFUL) but a total rip-off in price per applications.
@drz@mike808 So much truth! Its hard to argue with a true testimonial and a happy customer. I have never tried their other products but the Rain-X is definitely worthy. That reminds me, my bottle that I had for ages finally ran out before winter, time to grab another. I wish Meh was selling legit Rain-X.
@drz@Stallion My car wash uses Rain-X, so that’s a no-brainer. And I’ve got a bottle for top-offs that has lasted over a year too. Best stuff ever, as far as I’m concerned.
@joeywolf Snow slides right off, just like rain. It lasts about two months. Mostly it is your wipers smearing road oils/grease on top that wear/break it down. Nothing a good cleaning wash and a fresh coat won’t fix.
I mean it includes hard to find latex gloves, ssooooooo
@tinamarie1974 Pass. Not nitrile.
So how many do you think they’ll sell just for the gloves?

Can I flip those gloves on eBay and retire in style?
actually looks like Sani-Cloth is the way to go:

@awk fucking shady.
all I see are the gloves - lol
@TheDagda shiny!
Hey, is that the back of Bezos’ head?
Gotta get some wipes because, well, you know

Gloves; yes!
If I put this on my snow shovel will it disperse the snow without all the heavy lifting ?
@jmbunkin ooh
@jdavis103 @jmbunkin Yep. It will slide right out. Probably before you can lift it anywhere.
@jmbunkin @mike808 That would not be ideal.
@jdavis103 @jmbunkin @mike808 But how about using it for snowblowers so wet snow doesn’t clog?
@jmbunkin Use cooking spray for that job
How is this better/different/worse than Rain-X?

I used it on my rear to save on toilet paper.
I just use RainX windshield washer fluid and it makes my windshield shed water.
HOLY SHIHTZU! These literally mediocre wipes, worse than RainX, sold out?!? Was it really the gloves? I’m speechless. I wish the US President was too.
How long does a treatment last?
How does it do in snow? Will I ruin the sealer when I scrape ice and/or snow off the windshield?

Would these work on shower doors?
I think these will be helpful with the Tesla cameras when it rains. If the rain drops stick on them, sometimes they can’t see.
Why is the background a guy at the beach with a metal detector?
Sold out? This isn’t toilet paper!
@mehcuda67 It could be, if you use it off-label.

Think this would work on a plastic motorcycle shield?..
@openwater I wouldn’t try it unless you have an old spare to test on first.
@openwater… you don’t actually look through most windshields on motorcycles.
Last pic:Bald head application with gloves seems counterproductive.
Should have “paired” these with those pearl necklaces in a combo pack.
