Once our Keurig started serving lukewarm coffee I broke out the new Motif Essential Pour Coffee Brewer w/ Thermal Carafe & wow, I will never look back. Much better coffee. Two cups max because this coffee maker seems to add additional caffeine & I get a case of the jitters. Good thing I like the jitters. No more Keurig cups making weak coffee for me.
@Joedetroit I will second that. These make great coffee, cheaper too, unless you buy super-expensive beans… which I do sometimes. And these machines will actually make it worthwhile by getting the full benefit of the high-quality beans.

I did something stupid while cleaning it, and broke a piece of the glass tube.
There is no way in hell Motiff was willing to back up a warrantee repair - I really just wanted the glass tube. They claimed that meh.com was a clearinghouse sale, or somesuch.
ANYWAY, it still works. The glass kind of “chipped” off, buy it was a big fucking “chip”. The rubber gozinta still makes a seal.
My next descaling will be under white-knuckle duress.

For .70 the cost of a cup of coffee you can feed a child for a day in Ethiopia. At that what Sally Struthers used to say back in the 80’s. Now it’s a pod of coffee.
I, as well, Love My Motif! Bought my BF a different model. He loves it as well. Gave my Mom the 2nd 1 I bought which is like the picture. My Daughter in Law threw away her Expensive Keurig after she heard about the Bio Slime that forms. Pretty sure she could have cleaned it. She is a “Little” Weird. So, no thanks on K cups…Try out Brew Rite coffee cleaner if you haven’t. It cleans out the carafe as well as the brewer. Makes it all shiny and new again. Well, Ice, lemon and salt will do it too, especially a glass carafe you can’t get hands in to scrub.
@JekiTheRogue On a related note, the Pappy maple syrup is fucking delicious, and as close as I’ve come to trying Pappy so far. It’s a bit pricey($18 I think), but worth the splurge at least once. The bourbon barrel aged maple syrup that Costco and other stores sell is good, but the Pappy stuff is on another level.

My Keurig confession: I had been a sucker for “deals” even if in the long run they weren’t good ideas. For example, I’m on this site, which should be evidence enough for that.
Back when I used to shop the clearance racks of local grocery stores just for fun (pre-Covid), I’d find deals on K-cup coffees. I then had to pick up a Keurig brewer (also on clearance) so I could give these coffee things a try, plus it did look convenient. I was used to fairly “strong” coffee (note: strong is not the same as “dark”, but they are often related. But you can have a strong concentrated brew of a light-roast as well). At first I was pretty disappointed with the Keurig in how “weak” the coffee always was, even if I went for the smallest cup size (usually 6oz). A lot of different products always were just kind of “OK, not terrible; certainly not good.”
I eventually found a few brands of K-cups that I thought were reasonably “good” (or as good as you can given the technology). One key was “how much actual coffee is in each cup.” This may not be obvious – not all K-cups contain the same amount of coffee. These have 0.35oz, which is on the weak side. I did find some that were 0.4oz or greater, and from my experience these were better. I think I found one or two over 0.5oz that were specially marketed as extra-strong, and indeed they were. For my taste, the ones with 0.4oz or more is all I would buy now. Of course the quality of the beans is important too – but from my experience the ones making the higher “doses” also tend to the be specialty ones that use better-quality beans.
Overall the “K” machine was fun as a toy and to learn about the products – after that I decided to go back to drip-brewing (by hand or with the Motif), or actual espresso machines, though that is a different style entirely.

Uike the “brew-ha-ha” over pour over vs Kuerig, I use c, none of the above. Long time ago I discovered a great gizmo call the Cafejo. It is a french press that uses Kcups, Nespresso pods or refillable cups. Unfortunately it seems it is no longer made, but since my original one lasted nearly 10 years, the replacement I bought couple years ago is now my “precious”. There are a few similar gizmos out there, but none as compact and as few parts as the Cafejo. Keep the Kcup deals a-coming!
Fed Ex says delivered but wasn’t. Been here all day even looking out window at time Fed Ex says it was delivered. This seems to be an ongoing problem with Fed Ex. Not sure why MEH continues to use them. Awful delivery service.

First thing I bought from you guys that is terrible!! They split with the heat I guess and the one we could brew tasted awful!! Sorry but thought you might want to know!
Just got mine (no problems with shipping, yay!), immediately brewed a cup of the Original Blend, it was tasty. It smells sweet, but isn’t overpowering. Brewed up a Dark Roast as a follow-up, this one smells suuuuuper chocolatey. Flavor is OK. I’ll wait until dinner to try the Bourbon Vanilla flavor.
I’d rather have coffee-flavored bourbon.
But, even more, I prefer bourbon-flavored bourbon.
