Is there a marketing reason why a photo of the nutrition facts aren’t included in the photos of the product as a matter of policy? It isn’t like there is limited space in that carousel and the information should always be available, at least in theory. Why make it harder to evaluate the product?

The real problem is this just is not a great price. I just paid $12.22 for 24 on Amazon and the exp. date many more months out and I got a flavor I know I like. Salted Caramel Almond, yum.

Of course, I also have a ton I do not like. Going to pass them on to my sister and niece to see if they do. Keeping track of the ones that are palatable.

These peanut-butter bars are kind of nasty, taste-wise. Some of the KIND bars are okay, but not these. And even though I do like peanut butter, these particular bars are dry and kind of inedible.

So I bought the previous Meh deal (144 half size kind bars for $30, equal to 72 full size bars) so $0.41/bar. This is $0.50/bar. The cranberry bars tasted good, but I realized they gave me gas - turns out it’s the chicory root fiber, a high FODMAP food, which is doing that. These also have the exact same amount of chicory root fiber as far as I can tell. So if anyone is on a low FODMAP diet or is sensitive to this sort of thing… be careful!
For all the people freaking out about the sell-by date, I ate a blueberry Larabar yesterday that had a date of 01 JAN20. So three years old.
I feel fine today, and it tasted okay; not as good as a fresh one, but certainly edible. It had no nuts in it, which probably helped (they do get rancid.)
@Kyeh I recently found an unopened jar of Smucker’s Apricot Preserves at the back of a pantry shelf. It had a “Best If Purchased By” date of Sept 2004. The contents were a very dark brown color, but the jar opened with a “Pop”, had no visible mold or bad smell or other signs of spoilage. Curious, I braved a taste (For Science!) and it was kind of caramelly but otherwise OK. I did dispose of it, however.
@macromeh Yeah, things with a high sugar content seem to keep fairly well - but if they no longer taste good, it’s not really worth eating unless it’s a survival thing! I hate my cupboards - I lose track of stuff in them so easily. I need to get some of those inserts you can install that pull out.

That’s one heck of a price comparison. Walmart selling them over $2 a bar? Is there anyone who would spend $28 for a box of granola bars? Hire me to do your shopping and I get to keep the difference.

I’ve had Kind Bars and I like them. I never received my shipment though. @FedEx (who is terrible) said 3 times I was not home. I work from home so their driver was lying. Then they returned the package with no chance for me to pick it up myself (even though they lied 3 times about me being home). My recommendation to everyone is, AVOID #FEDEX @FEDEX at ALL COST. Even if it cost you a little, at least your package will get there. Meh now has to pay for shipment to me and return and has to credit me back the full amount since I never receive my order.
What’s with all the food stuff lately? I mean, my diet isn’t great, but I don’t want it to be “meh”.

I’m the kind of boss who stocks the snack cabinet for my staff, who totally deserve it. Yay!
