@Artimid@Ignorant@peabs007 I’m not speaking from experience, but I would guess they’d only work if the weight of what you’re securing with it is heavy enough to push the spikes (cleats?) into the mat.
@Artimid@peabs007 I just quickly tried them on my floor mats and they seemed to hold pretty well. There are grooves in the mats though and the teeth may be sticking into the grooves.
@Artimid@Ignorant@peabs007 I got a set of these in my irk last week. The box says “This unit will grip textured or rubber liners and will also work on carpet.” And there’s a little diagram with carpet, rubber, and plastic, and the rubber one says “Max 55 lbs”.
I have a highly overpriced plastic liner in the back of my car and am kind of afraid to try them out.

I bought these last time they were up for sale and I’m happy with them.
@Ignorant I have a weathertech trunk floor, not carpet. Will they still do a a good job?
@Ignorant @peabs007 That’s my question as well.
@Artimid @peabs007 not sure, I’m using them on the carpet. They have the teeth that grip into the carpet, not sure how they would do on a liner. Sorry.
The weight of the item helps to hold them in place so maybe it will help on the liner too
