Props for mentioning Man Man. My best friend introduced me to their music years ago. My favorite tracks include Black Mission Goggles, Spider Cider, and Engwish Bwudd.
The photo with irk shows the arms only go to the person’s elbow. I’d suspect the women model is very, very short to have it go so far down her arms and so long on her body. I notice the write up doesn’t give the actual measurements of this.
@G1 I think the pouch is integrated into the poncho. So if you’re wearing the poncho you’re sitting on the part of the poncho that turns into the pouch. If you’re old, this would like those kangaroo pouch windbreaker jackets that were big back in the mid 1980’s.
@G1@xarophti
You don’t have to carry your seat, but you also don’t get to leave it in the car if what you’re planning to do is not a sitting-down thing. If you’re not a huge fan of sitting out in the weather watching a bunch of desperately overpaid dudes perform a boring ritual involving the repositioning of an oblate spheroid, these are probably not all that useful for you. (Potential exceptions are numerous, of course, but I can’t think of any that would apply to me.)
@G1@werehatrack That’s when you take OUT the removable pad, though & leave it in your car. Then you’re just wearing a slicker that folds into it’s own (slightly oversized) integrated pouch
@werehatrack here in the PNW we go to concerts in the rain. and plays in the rain. and beer fests in the rain. and, sure, sports in the rain. everything in the rain!
@cinoclav@gt0163c, from what I read, ya don’t get any options!! You pick one color & get Four, all the same color. Oh,…you Do get the option of what color you want four of, but I think Not being able to buy four different colors was the last straw of my decision not to buy these butt pillowed ponchos!!🌨🌩
@marylynne7 I was thinking camping also but there is very little info on the materials. I know they are going to weigh more then my silnylon poncho but that was $$$. If they are coated nylon I will buy some. If they are poly anything then probably not
Edit: 100% Polyester, better than polyethylene I guess
But then, I had a cheapie rain poncho folded up into a pouch in my glove box for years, and never used that one either. And we get a little rain once in a while.
If I put my wet clothes in one of these, will they come out drier? I can’t really decide what a dryer butt would look like. Oh, don’t google that either.
@jfzab856 OMG, you’re absolutely right! I thought they’d be nice for baseball games in Rockies purple; they just arrived and sure enough, the cushion hangs down and you can’t unzip it from the poncho! It’s also super long, down to my ankles, so the pad drags on the ground - how stupid! I’m going to take it off, but I feel deceived.

Generally speaking, whatever I wear already has plenty of seat in it. On the other hand, clothing with an extra seat built in? OK, it may be worth a try. After all, what could go wrong?
@Trinityscrew, ya might wear a black one if it was raining. Sometimes, in a suite, it’s too windy, or raining too hard for the ole traditional umbrella! That’s my story [opinion], and I’m sticking too it + I never do hunt at funerals!!
Damn, the two colors I would bought are already sold out - maroon and navy blue. We like to go to Six Flags on “questionable weather days” which includes mostly rainy days. These would be nice.
I was at the Buffalo Bills game Sunday and could have really used it. My raincoat could only do so much and was soaked head to toe before halftime. In for a set. I’m sure it will come in handy next time.
@StrangerDanger
I’m waiting far an inflatable personal sit-hut that stays up via a small battery-powered air blower that ventilates and keeps the structure up, made from the stuff they use for those TRex costumes.
Hmmm.
Did I just give away the Hot New Item of 2022 that everyone will be dumping for pennies on the dollar in 2023?
I wouldn’t order the white ones if I were you. Free advice.
@Num1Zero but white is best for wet poncho contests.
@Num1Zero You know it took me about 30 minutes to realize just why the hell you posted this.
@AuntMean67 @Num1Zero Racism. Lol. Classic.
@medz @Num1Zero, No, not really,…a clear one is ideal for the Wet Poncho contest!!
Well, at least there is a purple option. It has that going for it.
@heartny, Yeah, but i couldn’t believe they wouldn’t offer a Black Poncho!!
Wow, this seems so meh I kinda expected it’d be the lead-in to a mehrathon.
@brainmist I am still looking at it and looking for the countdown to the next item. I mean… a poncho… a 4 pack of ponchos? With built in stadium seat?
@brainmist, it’s not even an offer for a 2 For Tuesday! What happened to that¿?
@1DisabledWarVet @brainmist Umm… it’s 4 for Tuesday. Even better than 2.
@medz Noooooo!
Sounds comfy, but shouldn’t there be a hole in the middle?
Props for mentioning Man Man. My best friend introduced me to their music years ago. My favorite tracks include Black Mission Goggles, Spider Cider, and Engwish Bwudd.
@PooltoyWolf
I’m having a hard time believing Erik Estrada hasn’t come up in the forum for this deal yet…
I like the idea of these since it rains so much in Florida… But I wish there was a way to pick different colors, or just buy one or two.
The photo with irk shows the arms only go to the person’s elbow. I’d suspect the women model is very, very short to have it go so far down her arms and so long on her body. I notice the write up doesn’t give the actual measurements of this.
Kelly green good for st paddy’s parade in nyc. Protect you from the amateurs.
Hmmm… A mask for the whole body in a variety of colors.
@hchavers, not really; it does Not cover the nose & mouth!
Finally, a poncho with a built-in seat cushion.
I wonder if I could cut it into a belt or a hat.
Is it true that Mark Cuban nixed the ones with the built-in jock strap?
So it’s a seat cushion that uses a rain poncho as it’s cushioning. Once you put on the poncho, you sit on the empty zippered bag, right?
@G1 I think the pouch is integrated into the poncho. So if you’re wearing the poncho you’re sitting on the part of the poncho that turns into the pouch. If you’re old, this would like those kangaroo pouch windbreaker jackets that were big back in the mid 1980’s.
@G1 It says it’s a removable seat pad, so it looks like there is padding besides the pouch. And you don’t have to carry your seat

Funny, I was just looking at these on Morningsave yesterday. If you got the coupon they’re cheaper there.
@cinoclav Also more color options. There’s camo over there…although it’s pretty easy to miss. Blends right in with all the other options.
@cinoclav @gt0163c, from what I read, ya don’t get any options!! You pick one color & get Four, all the same color. @cinoclav - Did they raise the Morningsave price to match? Cost with code is the same now.
@kdemo No, the price is still the same. Not the VMP code, they sent a code via email that would make them cheaper.
@cinoclav - Ah, thanks. I signed off the Morningsave teasemail list long ago. My loss, I guess.
I’m thinking about these for backpacking. Does anybody know how I can find out how much they weigh?
@marylynne7 I was thinking camping also but there is very little info on the materials. I know they are going to weigh more then my silnylon poncho but that was $$$. If they are coated nylon I will buy some. If they are poly anything then probably not

I really can’t see myself using these.
But then, I had a cheapie rain poncho folded up into a pouch in my glove box for years, and never used that one either. And we get a little rain once in a while.

“ with Stadium Seat Coverage”
What size stadium?
So many colors; so little interest.
100% Polyester, just saying, in case you’re allergic. Amazon “Buy it with” paired it with disposable toilet seat covers. How about that algorithm!
Bust. Bought them and did not realize seat is permanently attached.

They’re shown here as being tucked up, but they aren’t - they hang down:

No Black, No Jack from me!! You wouldn’t wanna wear a Bright Orange one to a funeral!!
@1DisabledWarVet You would if it was hunting season.
@1DisabledWarVet No Black, No Jack from me!! You wouldn’t wanna wear

@1DisabledWarVet When I was younger and single, at weddings my old aunts and uncles would poke me in the ribs and say, “You’re next!”.
So I started doing it back to them at funerals.
Damn, the two colors I would bought are already sold out - maroon and navy blue. We like to go to Six Flags on “questionable weather days” which includes mostly rainy days. These would be nice.

@StrangerDanger @werehatrack And showing up in IRKs in 2024.
Two words:
Earthquake kit.
Dryyr? Rlly?
Having seen the prelude to that edit, I cheerfully accept any blame!
If that stadium cushion wasn’t attached to the poncho, I would be more interested in these. Oh, well.
@werehatrack did you see that it’s removable?
FYI Meh: There is NO SALES TAX to be charged to Clothing in Minnesota.
Adjust your Billing System.

Got here pretty fast. Cool in a goofy way.
Are these supposed to be printed? I didn’t see any printing on the listing, but mine have “University of Dubuque” printed on them. What the hell.
