almost pulled the trigger for a kitchen reno until I realized these aren’t tiles, they’re just stickers. I guess it’s not a terrible price for stickers but “self-adhering tiles” are usually real glass / ceramic tiles with adhesive backing, not paper stickers.
Well this is certainly different. Almost pulled the trigger until I realized they were just stickers. They do look nice, I just wonder how they will hold up to repeated spills and regular use and abuse.
Really impressed with the fact that they have some sort of liquid magnet properties as indicated in the 10th picture of the full coffee cup stuck to the wall!
That’s awesome!
@chienfou Similar to how some Doctors may sometimes prescribe a med ‘off-label’ for something it was not originally intended for, I could see someone using these to dress up a food tray…
I just watched the “how to install” video, and I’ll admit, for fancy decals, they’re rather neat for a quick and easy way to make a substitute tile surface.
@athena3030 That’s the problem. We bought this house from my parents and it was built in 1978. We are way overdue for a remodel. Maybe someday.

I’m still conflicted about these. They are kind of cheesy. Cutting the ceramic tiles for the backsplash in my kitchen was the worst part of the job, but here I could just use scissors.
I wouldnt put these in my house, they feel rubbery… but they’re awesome for rv’s! I spent $100 on 10 tiles from home depot when I did mine. Got one of these for the future rv when we upgrade.

@RiotDemon Fair enough. I didn’t catch that it was the daily deal so my bad. Got it in an email embedded with other items and it didn’t say daily deal anywhere in the email or on the page that it links to.
I made the mistake of waiting to buy til 10:55pm obviously didn’t work out. Fingers crossed that there are still way too many sitting in the warehouse & that i’ll have another shot soonish
I actually used a small number of these for a backsplash around my laundry room slop sink. They look nice, wash up easily, and aren’t too much of a pain to install (have a beer or two so you don’t go too crazy over lining them up).
So excited to see them here for this price, as that was the only thing holding me back from going for it with the wall behind the washer dryer
That’s another great Meh face today. Pity I’ll never see it again…
@shahnm Why are you so upset about this? I’ve seen you mention it in more than one place.
@shahnm @TBoneZeOriginal he’s obviously overcome by sadness on a daily basis.
Perhaps he will see the meh face again… when he looks in the mirror…
@TBoneZeOriginal Why are you following me around and stalking me?
@shahnm I’d hardly call visiting this thread and the poll thread at 12:01am stalking.
@TBoneZeOriginal
The 17 stars and counting on @shahnm’s comment would hint you might have not been stalking Meh enough.
@shahnm @TBoneZeOriginal You mean like this place that has somehow dropped off the front page?
https://meh.com/forum/topics/meh-button-stats-missing
Gonna have to head over there and bump that thread.
Tiles? They are more like stickers.
This image shows how flexible they are. Definitely not what I would call a tile.
@cengland0 Looking more like a vinyl appliqué than a tile, innit.
@cengland0 @ruouttaurmind Can you just imagine how cheesy those would look as a kitchen backsplash? GaaaaH!
Perfect with these add-an-outlet stickers.
Now with FREE GFCI !!!
@mike808 don’t get me started
@mike808
This is a great price for these.
@RiotDemon if you think these = ceramic tiles, it would be. As they are not ceramic, the price /= great.
@hchavers I meant what I said. I regularly see fake tiles like this for sale $5-10 a sheet.
I was literally thinking about getting some of this this evening to make my backsplash look ok until I am able to redo the kitchen properly.
I bet wargame fans could go for those hexes.
@TellarHK Alas, the hexes are either 1.7" (flat-to-flat) or 2.0" (corner-to-corner), which is a little large for most wargames.
@TellarHK Also the squares are about 2"x2".
I wonder if these would stick to a car?
@Steve7654
@Steve7654 I wonder if these would stick to an armadillo.

@dominusprinceps I think these are vinyl not paper.
@dominusprinceps @mothersnakes is right, they’re vinyl
well there it is, the most meh thing ive ever seen on Meh.
I am not allowed to decorate the basement, much less any other room in the house.
@hchavers

@UFGatorHawk
@chienfou I’m more impressed that somebody found coffee with such a high iron content.
@chienfou Touche! It was late and I took it a little to literally…
let me know if you get tiles that look like Scrabble Tiles or Dominoes. I have a guitar to cover.
@dhelmick56 goin’ for the old Rick Nielson look?
Today’s Meh face is totally Dr. Yewell from the show Defiance.
Today I saw cases of the real glass tiles, nany colors, at the Habitat for Humanity store. Very dangerous place. I’ve been pondering for hours.
@MoonMoonDog I have never been in one. I only just saw one recently in my travels. It peaked my curiosity.
*piqued
I just watched the “how to install” video, and I’ll admit, for fancy decals, they’re rather neat for a quick and easy way to make a substitute tile surface.
Wonder how these would look in my 70’s designed kitchen with the orange counters and dark stained cabinets.
/giphy I should update
@tnhillbillygal What are you doing in my parents kitchen
@athena3030 That’s the problem. We bought this house from my parents and it was built in 1978. We are way overdue for a remodel. Maybe someday.

WORKER BEES! HERCULES! TURKEY GREASE! AWESOME!
@jnicholson0619 Same, I bought mine for my RV.
Probably decent for some people who will never get a chance to do actual tile.
@Stallion I tile, but I’m still using these in our laundry room because life is too short.
these would be perfect if I wanted to make my kitchen counters California style…in the 80’s…
Oh fer Crissakes, this is SHELF PAPER!
@MrNews Come on, shelf paper!!
Since this is Meh, has the adhesive expiration date passed by yet?
I just found out that these are the same price on MorningSave.
VMP members can take advantage of a small discount if you buy it over there instead.
@cengland0 vmp discounts don’t apply to the daily deal.

Anyone know if these are easily removable without residue?
@adamselby I found info that they can be peeled back off if you heat them up with a heat gun or hair dryer without damaging the wall.
I actually used a small number of these for a backsplash around my laundry room slop sink. They look nice, wash up easily, and aren’t too much of a pain to install (have a beer or two so you don’t go too crazy over lining them up).

These are super cool, but alas I’m a renter If I owned my home I’d be all about buying these!
Ooooooo! Puffy stickers!
