@Barney@sammydog01 purple purple with purple purple but purple and purple purple purple purple and she was all purple purple purple purple. “purple?” purple purpled, and purple purple purple purple, “duh! purple”, so purple.
@curtise They were 3 for $8 when they thought they knew what brand they were… Now that they don’t, they took their two cents out and are passing the savings along to us!
(As an early adopter of reusable grocery bags, mine have started dying en masse and I need some good replacements… if these are stronger that rather mediocre fuko and fuku and boc and other bags I have, I’d be willing to spend $2.90 each on some of these.)
@baqui63 I was a recent backer of a crowdfunding campaign for “Nanobag 2.0” and just got them a few weeks ago. While the handles are a little long for me (and the per-bag price exceeds your willing-to-spend figure), the rest of the bag seems to have really great reusable-bag characteristics. (I have no affiliation with the product other than being a reasonably satisfied backer.)
@baqui63 Though my upcycled shirts aren’t the most convenient because they won’t sit flat, they are sturdy.
Cost is t-shirt, a few zip ties, and a few minutes. My thrift store rag bag shirts have been perfect for these, although I’ve purposely purchased individual shirts for use as bags too (if they’re a buck or less).
@narfcake I can envision this but there are probably a trick or two for better outcome. Any pointers (a link or something)? I have many t-shirts that I never wear (too small, too fugly, holes, etc.) so I doubt I’d even need to buy any. The most expensive part will be the time, but… meh.
Seems to pricey for what they are. Maybe if they were 3 for $5…and that would possibly still be a hard pass! I’ll keep going to local fairs/events and taking the freebies they hand out.
@savvysapphire I’d have to agree. I’m interested in them but I’m not sure of the grocery haul capacity and its a gamble. I think most of us can agree we he-man our groceries into the house so we don’t have to make more than one trip. Or at least I do because I’m incredibly lazy.
These are plastic? Nylon? Mylar? The large print says quilted but the product specs say quilted pattern. Which is it? I love you but you quite often leave out important information when describing girly products. Could you please put a couple of your Moms on retainer and run descriptions of girly products past them. Really, what are these made of? What gives them that shine?
@Pamela@sophi Polypropylene is the same stuff tarps are made of. And 5 inches deep, that’s how tall they are? That is about 2 cans of Friskies or 3 cans of Fancy Feast high. I do dream of a future kitten based economy. What good are tarpy cat food totes if they are not big enough for a kitty kamp out when the shopping is done? Guess it’s still blanket forts for now (sigh)…
@Pamela@sophi@surfeit I’m pretty sure if I got one, my kitty would immediately want to jump in it, probably knock it over, push it around pretending there is a mouse in there, and then go to sleep.
@marsacademy Still confused on the bag sizing… Aren’t deep and high the same thing? Like a kiddie (not kitty) pool might be labeled as 12" deep and when filling the pool you would measure how high the water was getting. Right?
Or to get really technically literal - deep and high would be opposites. Deep is down, high is up.
Damn the measurements! I want pictorial evidence of size in comparison to an everyday object. Like a can of cat food or sumptin’.
And maybe the opportunity to purchase a 5" deep, not high, kitty pool.
@surfeit LOL! Well, I was assuming in this case, depth means front to back - i.e., more like what you’d usually think of as width, but for this item, they are calling height and width the size of the large sides (top to bottom and side to side). Now I’ve even confused myself, but I think it makes sense looking at the bags
@heartny nope. the “6-pc” doesn’t belong in their ad. Each single bag is on sale for $20ish. Plus, as I color shopped their ad I noticed there is no description offered. These and those look exactly alike; they probably are the same Joy Mangano Tote. I counted the quilted pattern (yea, a bit weird, but lol feels good) and studied the wide ribbon-like handles. This gumshoe says, “Buy It”. I never heard of Joy… net worth $50 million b4 2nite. She’s not a top designer, more of an inventor and promoter with an ex-husband by her side. Okay, I’ve talked myself into needing these and I know which colors I hope Meh offers us. My Trader Joe’s bags will have bright new totes to lay around with on their days off.
@HoneyIMHome Joy mostly sold her stuff on HSN shopping channel, including her mop and Huggable Hangers. She sold her brand to them, but I see now that she left them and shut down her business. I guess that’s why Morning Save has so many of her products. The movie Joy starring Jennifer Lawrence was about her.
@davidwr99@jonjen2 I am thinking 3… but it is confusing. I tried to only order 2 (thinking it was 6 bags) and it refused to allow me to do that until I ordered a third saying I had to order 3 bags. That is why I am thinking they are $3 each, our pack of 3 is not prepackaged according to buy page and error message I got (so lets hope the person packing the box gets it right).
@jonjen2@Kidsandliz that’s the funny thing. I ended up ordering 3 colors but it let me order them one at a time. Which lead me believe that I am getting three of each color.
@davidwr99@jonjen2@Kidsandliz For a while now, every time there is a multi pack with options you get to pick your options individually on the order page. If your quantity is not a multiple of the multi pack amount (3 in this case) you will get an error and cannot complete the purchase.
The language is not the clearest (3-pack, 3 for $9) but the mechanism for ordering mostly clarifies things. Perhaps 3-pack should come out of the title and it should just be “quilted bags 3 for $9 (must buy 3)”.
@davidwr99@djslack@jonjen2@Kidsandliz Cheese wiz. I decided not to order because I did not want 3 of the same color bags. Thought when you choose a color that it would be three of whatever color you chose! Clearly not clear!!! (Especially when after choosing one (color), the prompt “want another” comes up!)
“Rich camel”?! Do I look like the kind of a guy who can afford a blinged-out camel?! I can assure you I couldn’t feed and shelter the low-maintenance-est of camels if the very fate of the galaxy depended upon it.
If I ended up ordering 3 of each color,I am going to use them as Christmas gift bags. That would be $1/bag. So the women in my life can have the gift inside PLUS a nice (?) quilted bag to use in whatever way seems fun for them! Win/Win. They get a pretty gift bag and I get rid of the extra bags!
@ripper69 it is build your own 3-pack I believe, so $3 per bag, not three 3-packs for $9. I’d get me and hubby to buy if it was 9 for $9 (plus shipping so 9 for $14 then 2 purchasers so 18 for $28) but 3 for $14 is too pricey for my cheap self.
@justanother106@mollama@ripper69 Nope, it’s actually 1 for $3 at checkout. It’s not that complicated, just read the specs. You choose a color for each of your 3 single bags to make a 3 pack.
I like 'em. Too much. Bought three, each in a different color. but, but, the three other colors that I like and didn’t buy, damn it, they are so pretty too. signing off. will peek back here later. I missed buying last week’s Tee-shirts. my head is trying to make me buy another set of totes. wish my dogs could distract me, a live rodent gift would do it.
@lasdeauna There is a willow green. It’s not a deep green. I ordered one. I have no idea what these will look like in reality, hard to tell from the photos, but what the Meh…
@pmarin I suppose the underside of a willow tree leaf, it may echo this color. I love the green marketed on St. Patrick’s, but alas, I don’t wanna wear a leprechaun every time I don a green anything.
I really like foldable bags. When I’m done, fold them back up and they don’t take up a ton of space in my car. A local non profit sells them with their logo. I love them. https://images.app.goo.gl/irCN7VEfqCxXcnyH9
I don’t know when they finally fixed it, but it’s now clear in the order page before checkout, after you select 3, it shows 3 with an itemized price of $3 each for a total of $9, + tax (+ shipping if you’re not with the program).
I didn’t try to checkout before adding 3, but I suspect that some of the confusing errors were people picking only 1 (at first I thought so too… we had to get 3 of one color. This is actually a lot better since we can choose)
I can’t tell if the Walmart listing is 1 or 6. I think it’s 1, but says 6pc in the title. Strangely, there was an eBay listing with identical “6pc” title but also it was unclear there if it was 1 or 6. I believe they are all for 1 and the 6pc is an error in their listing.
The quality was very good, i thought they would suck but they are A ok, had i known i would have ordered 9 instead of 3, but they screwed up on the colors didn’t need 2 of the same color . nice item…Need more ricolas all out please.
They came today. Not as tall as I thought. The measurements must have included the handles. Since they weren’t for me, rather as gifts I guess not my problem. Sort of small for shopping bags unless you are buying just a couple of things.
It’s not a 3-pack for $3 … It’s choose 3 for $9. What a scam, and they are still listing this wrong on Morningsave. Meh genorously offered me a refund if I return the 3 with tracking at my expense.
@14Peggy@RiotDemon Jesus, this is a never ending problem. We’ve discussed this too many times. @dave - Can’t you guys simply put it right at the beginning of the product description: You get a total of 3 gizmathings for $this much money. Not 3 sets of 3, but 3 total.
I understand… but I read it to be a 3-pack of each color and you are buying 3 of the 3-packs for $12. These bags are only worth $1 a piece, maybe $2 if it wasn’t on Meh, made of thin fabric. It clearly should be listed as 3 for $9 (or 3 for $12 on Morningsave) not 3-packs. Returning these would be an even bigger waste of money.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I didn’t have any trouble understanding the sale. Now that canvas grocery tote bags are all over for a couple of bucks, $3 is about the top of what these are worth. They do look nice, and I like the wider shape rather than the taller bags.
Okay maybe this will make sense to many of you.
When you look at a store ad and it states: 12-pack Coke 3 for $12 Do you expect 3 cans of Coke or 3 12-packs. Well my ad stated 3-pack Quilted Tote Bags 3 for $9
@14Peggy I expect three 12 packs. Yeah I thought it was 9 too and originally was thinking when I picked a color I was getting a 3 pack of each color I picked.
@14Peggy@Ignorant Well you could be buying 3 packages of 12 packs. They sell socks here that way. Well they aren’t 12 packs but they tend to be 5 or 6 packs.
@Kidsandliz yes, that would make sense then. In the example given by @14Peggy that’s not the case, it’s 3 single cans for $12 when they only have 12-packs. (Also very expensive Coke)

Boom
I love purple.
@Barney Indeed
I guess no purple for Barney tonight. I’m too tired to wait around for them to fix it where we can buy something.
Um, @dave, hello? Goodnight.
@Barney Are you thinking violet or lavender?
@sammydog01 I’m hoping that while they are fixing the BUY IT that they will name everything purple.
@Barney @sammydog01 purple purple with purple purple but purple and purple purple purple purple and she was all purple purple purple purple. “purple?” purple purpled, and purple purple purple purple, “duh! purple”, so purple.
@UncleVinny My thoughts, exactly.
something went terribly wrong!
I’d get one if it said IRK on the side.
Tilted quote bags
Ok no joke this should be 3 for $3. How do you get $8?
So wrong so Irk. Still my favorite something went wrong page
What’s with the price? Why is this ending in .98?
Oh I see, that was a mistake. Now showing a rounded price of $9, which is a dollar and two cents more.
@curtise They were 3 for $8 when they thought they knew what brand they were… Now that they don’t, they took their two cents out and are passing the savings along to us!
Any knowledge of how much weight these will hold?
(As an early adopter of reusable grocery bags, mine have started dying en masse and I need some good replacements… if these are stronger that rather mediocre fuko and fuku and boc and other bags I have, I’d be willing to spend $2.90 each on some of these.)
@baqui63 and the price went up, so now ~$3.27 each (to me in NYC with 8.875% sales tax and free shipping).
I am a big fan of the natural and blue Trader Joe’s canvas bags.
The handles go down at least as far as the reinforced bottom, so they aren’t coming loose.
I have carried five two-liter bottles (over twenty pounds) without issue. and the strap is long enough to put over my shoulder.
They were four bucks each when i bought them several years ago.
They are also easily machine washable.
Cost is t-shirt, a few zip ties, and a few minutes. My thrift store rag bag shirts have been perfect for these, although I’ve purposely purchased individual shirts for use as bags too (if they’re a buck or less).
@craigthom just bought one, still $4 in NH
@narfcake I can envision this but there are probably a trick or two for better outcome. Any pointers (a link or something)? I have many t-shirts that I never wear (too small, too fugly, holes, etc.) so I doubt I’d even need to buy any. The most expensive part will be the time, but… meh.
@narfcake Local thrift store had a $1 Big Bang Soft Kitty t-shirt in XL… maybe that would work?
@baqui63 Instructions are posted in this thread:
https://meh.com/forum/topics/reusable-shopping-bags#5828dd2052b38fe00b7a625f
@Kidsandliz I have a copy of that one somewhere – because catshirt. The whereabouts of Soft Kitty from TeeTurtle is also unknown.
So the very first one you see in that lovely blue, isn’t even an option.
@cinoclav That’s a bummer.
@Pamela It shows up in the list to buy. Guess they just skipped putting the individual photo up for it.
@cinoclav Maybe that is the sapphire. It is not listed on the front page, but there is a choice for it on the purchase page.
@cinoclav It’s the sapphire. When I chose that color it showed the color of the first bag.
They’re six for $12 on eBay.
@benf_dc link?
@benf_dc @djslack There are plenty on there for less than $12 for 6 of them, though they’re listed as ‘New with defects.’
@benf_dc They are $6.44 each here

Tried to buy, got the 404 video, then the page refreshed and the price changed to $9. What gives?
@PurplePawprints did they figure out the brand?
"Aw, snap! Something went terribly wrong.
We’re, uh, gonna fix some things over here"
Do they zip closed?
@grammycakes Appears they do not.
@Tiamat114 Yup! I take as much as possible in too, since there are stairs into my house. And I hate climbing stairs!
Something went terribly wrong! I do love watching that video tho
@nickm461 Sometimes I go to https://meh.com/ElvisFatheredSkrillex.htm when the usual soundtrack of my life (Mogwai’s “Take Me Somewhere Nice”, if you must know) fails to bouy my spirits.
Okay meh. Do you want to sell these or not?
We’re working on it
@Thumperchick For $7.98, $8, or $9?
@Pamela I found this description for them.
18"L x 11"W x 5"D, 100% Polypropoline.
@Pamela @sophi Polypropylene is the same stuff tarps are made of. And 5 inches deep, that’s how tall they are? That is about 2 cans of Friskies or 3 cans of Fancy Feast high. I do dream of a future kitten based economy. What good are tarpy cat food totes if they are not big enough for a kitty kamp out when the shopping is done? @Pamela @sophi @surfeit 5" deep, not 5" high
@Pamela @sophi @surfeit I’m pretty sure if I got one, my kitty would immediately want to jump in it, probably knock it over, push it around pretending there is a mouse in there, and then go to sleep.
@marsacademy Still confused on the bag sizing… Aren’t deep and high the same thing? Like a kiddie (not kitty) pool might be labeled as 12" deep and when filling the pool you would measure how high the water was getting. Right?

@pmarin Awwwe… Your kitty deserves ALL the bags!
@surfeit LOL! Well, I was assuming in this case, depth means front to back - i.e., more like what you’d usually think of as width, but for this item, they are calling height and width the size of the large sides (top to bottom and side to side). I think these may be Joy Mangano quilted totes, especially since Morning Save was selling a lot of her products. Six for $20 at Walmart.
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Joy-Mangano-6-Pc-Luxe-Quilted-Tote-404-644/635423457?selected=true
@heartny Or, maybe this.
@cinoclav That kinda works too, but only if one takes the time to read
@heartny The mop lady.
Something went terribly wrong? Come on MEH. Really!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
@jonjen2 should be working now.
I am pretty sure most of those colors don’t exist, except purple. Barney definitely exist.
@hchavers I do exist.
@Barney @hchavers You only think you exist… hmm … Now I’ve confused myself and have to watch The Matrix again.
@pmarin
Santa and I do exist.
Bluetoothed or not?
/image light-stinky-vegetable
/giphy light-stinky-vegetable
Uh, WTH! Did I order 3 or 9?
@jonjen2 That’s what I’m wondering. I ordered because it looked like a deal with getting 9.
@jonjen2 You bought a cluster of bags. And this is a clusterfuck.
@davidwr99 @jonjen2 I am thinking 3… but it is confusing.
@jonjen2 @Kidsandliz that’s the funny thing. I ended up ordering 3 colors but it let me order them one at a time. Which lead me believe that I am getting three of each color.
@davidwr99 @jonjen2 That is what I originally thought too until I got an error message telling me I had to order a third bag.
@davidwr99 @jonjen2 @Kidsandliz For a while now, every time there is a multi pack with options you get to pick your options individually on the order page.
@djslack They should hire you to write that kind of stuff. Your suggestion makes it abundantly clear.
Hopefully, @Dave or somebody will read this and head your suggestion @djslack.
@davidwr99 @djslack @jonjen2 @Kidsandliz Cheese wiz. I decided not to order because I did not want 3 of the same color bags. Thought when you choose a color that it would be three of whatever color you chose! Clearly not clear!!! (Especially when after choosing one (color), the prompt “want another” comes up!)
@benj @davidwr99 @djslack @jonjen2 @Kidsandliz you have to pick three colors. If you want them all the same color, pick the same color 3 times.
@benj @davidwr99 @djslack @jonjen2 @Kidsandliz @RiotDemon When this stuff gets confusing check the specs- it’s usually clear there. (See the top of this page.)
I dont understand. I might be drunk. But…
@jonjen2 I understand that I may be drunk.
For $7.98, $8, or $9?
@mlapaglia Hell I dunno anymore… MEH? Can you elaborate?
@jonjen2 @mlapaglia all signs point to $9. For three bags. Not three three-packs of bags.
One for the master, one for the dame, and one for the little boy who lives down the lane.
@djslack @mlapaglia Well… okay, less plastic. I’m good with it. But I was very confused… again, beers might be involved
@jonjen2 nope not beer… failure to use clear language on the part of meh
If I get 12, I wonder if I can cut them up and make a bed quilt out of them…?
Taupe looks grey.
Linen looks silver.
Steel grey looks like aluminum foil.
Now I want those 3 to compare IRL.
“Rich camel”?! Do I look like the kind of a guy who can afford a blinged-out camel?! I can assure you I couldn’t feed and shelter the low-maintenance-est of camels if the very fate of the galaxy depended upon it.
Are these insulated?
@akumax it doesn’t look like it in this pic.
Why the Meh not.
/image slate-renowned-collar
Ooo, Pretty!
/image orange-bushy-fang
@mollama @ripper69 Yes, at the top of the specs it says choose your three pack.
@mollama @ripper69
Its actually 3 for $3 at check out
@justanother106 @mollama @ripper69 No, it’s one for $3 at checkout and you have to add 3 to your bag for a total of $9.
@justanother106 @mollama @ripper69 Nope, it’s actually 1 for $3 at checkout. It’s not that complicated, just read the specs. You choose a color for each of your 3 single bags to make a 3 pack.
@justanother106 @mollama @ripper69 @therealjrn And then check your order page and you will see how much you are charged - $9 for 3 of them.
I like 'em.
Woah, 3 for Thaturday.
And not a single green. Why is green so hard to find?
@lasdeauna There is a willow green. It’s not a deep green. I ordered one. I have no idea what these will look like in reality, hard to tell from the photos, but what the Meh…
@pmarin I suppose the underside of a willow tree leaf, it may echo this color. I love the green marketed on St. Patrick’s, but alas, I don’t wanna wear a leprechaun every time I don a green anything.
@ElieC did you buy them? If so, share your findings on the color veracity.
I really like foldable bags. When I’m done, fold them back up and they don’t take up a ton of space in my car. A local non profit sells them with their logo. I love them.
https://images.app.goo.gl/irCN7VEfqCxXcnyH9
@Fuzzalini Yeah I was sad to see that you have to buy at least 100 of them…
@Kidsandliz Maybe we can get Meh to buy some with their logo.
@Fuzzalini That’s a good idea. I don’t know who a buyer is to flag though. Do you?
Fugly. IKEA bags are cheaper.
@arrakisforce Well IKEA is kinda fugly too… But some ladies (and gents) like Bling.
The quality was very good, i thought they would suck but they are A ok, had i known i would have ordered 9 instead of 3, but they screwed up on the colors didn’t need 2 of the same color . nice item…Need more ricolas all out please.
@mellowirishgent Tada
@mellowirishgent And these
@mellowirishgent @therealjrn Morningsave FTW!
Have some
not from here
make good gift bags
not good shopping bags
@Cerridwyn That’s better than haiku! What’s it called?
Bought some
from here
too wide for gift bags
make good shopping bags
They came today. Not as tall as I thought. The measurements must have included the handles. Since they weren’t for me, rather as gifts I guess not my problem. Sort of small for shopping bags unless you are buying just a couple of things.
10-12 items grocery shopping works great holds up ok
It’s not a 3-pack for $3 … It’s choose 3 for $9. What a scam, and they are still listing this wrong on Morningsave. Meh genorously offered me a refund if I return the 3 with tracking at my expense.
@14Peggy it was choose 3 for $9. You pick three colors to make your 3 pack. It’s nice of them to offer a refund.
@14Peggy morningsave says 3 for $12 so I’m not sure what you mean by it being listed incorrectly.
@14Peggy @RiotDemon Jesus, this is a never ending problem. We’ve discussed this too many times. @dave - Can’t you guys simply put it right at the beginning of the product description: You get a total of 3 gizmathings for $this much money. Not 3 sets of 3, but 3 total.
@14Peggy @cinoclav @dave @RiotDemon Like this?
@14Peggy @dave @RiotDemon @sammydog01 Obviously still confusing to people. That ‘x’ makes people think it’s 3x3.
@14Peggy I really don’t understand how they can make it clearer. This is the text from morningsave:
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I didn’t have any trouble understanding the sale. Now that canvas grocery tote bags are all over for a couple of bucks, $3 is about the top of what these are worth. They do look nice, and I like the wider shape rather than the taller bags.
It is clearer on Morningsave now. The original listing on Meh was not worded that way.
@14Peggy why would it say 3 for $12 if they are 12-packs? You can’t open them up and take 3 out.
@14Peggy @Ignorant Well you could be buying 3 packages of 12 packs.
