Holy Mother of Christ (sorry, true believers) Meh has gone and dumped into the dumpster now. Of course, I bought one, because everyone I know is old and is aching in places that need relief!! Hahahaha!!! (sob!)
I bought two sets of these last time because I was so excited to cure my aches and pains. Three of them sprung leaks on first use, staining whatever I was wearing at the time. They should be advertised as “nearly single-use.”
Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen of the Meh universe,
This is your first of hopefully many more volumes of the Anti-Write-Up WriteUp (A-W-UWU) brought to you by the GOAT of October. You know when you are beginning a series of anything, more than anything else you want the impact of that initial idea to stick. To last. To be something that continues to bring back viewers over and over for decades to come and franchises can simply cash in on it for as long as they so desire to do. My original thought process behind this was going to be simply making a new thread and asking the community for “Random Topic Ideas!”. However, that seemed too easy. I want to see what I can simply crap out day after day in long form since the brilliant writers do this at meh every day for who knows how long now.
The idea behind the A-W-UWU is simple. Normal topics and conversation are great one-offs and one liners but how about we get the community involved in interesting topics? If that is at all possible. Sure we have our posts here and there of winding up on the roof of different places or different horror statues that are buried in lakes too, but what’s the point. I want us to try and change the world while also being entirely meh about the whole situation. This makes no sense and perfect sense.
The A-W-UWU’s main point will now to be simply to serve as a pot-stirrer of bullshit amongst the community. At least, that is my goal. I want to see if we can get everyone to engage in topics that others might find uncomfortable. You know what’s the point in this life to stay in our comfort zone and simply drift by? Do we want to be a passerby in our life or actually live our life?
What if this is all a simulation? What is none of this is real? What if we are in the ultimate meta game for another higher being and we are simply carrying out their tasks and thoughts? What if the sun is actually flat? There are questions out there that we have to come together and discuss for no other reason than we simply need something else to occupy a few minutes of our time at night?
I would like to kindly extend the invitation to all of you to engage in something different. To step out of your comfort zone. To being active on the forums here. To mindlessly engage in topics that you would rather just keep to yourself because you think you’re the only one who could ever feel that way. I welcome anyone who comments on my posts to know that I will do my best to have a judgement free zone. There might be an ew! here and there but hey! Welcome to Vol 001 of the A-W-UWU.
I hate to break it to you, but we realized a long time ago that it is indeed all a simulation. It’s not so bad once you get used to it. Just sit back and enjoy your inevitable meaninglessness. Embrace being meh.
@shahnm Firstly who said it was allowed to be a simulation without me having Player One controls? Secondly I will never embrace my true meaningless of life. I will always strive to present the fine mehtizens of this place with new and needlessly wordy ideas!
But maybe not TL;DR
A quandary of querulous proportions?
I saw something about brilliant Meh writers and I thought you must have dyslexia Hem writers are brilliant I mean Hem as in Hematology. I tell you just to join the AAH you need to be in a Doctoral program. Yeah they certainly have a long-winded and copious smattering of writings everyday. I think Hematology is really complex though so much in the blood from RBC’s, WBC’s Platelets, proteins/Complement, sugars, lipids, coagulation factors, serpins (a type of protein), water, oxygen and many other components. Considering it’s like well over 70 families of antibodies now and some of these like RH have about 50 different antigens. Complement has an entire cascade of proteins and multiple pathways to start. The WBC group has many different cells some of these include Monocytes which are usually an indicator of fungal infection Basophils which release histomines, (these have large dark granules) Eosinophils which are elevated in parasitic infections, There are many others including blasts which are indicative of neoplasms. Then you have Erythrocytes, which have this biconcoidal shape and a central pallor. Mainly responsible for transporting CO2 and oxygen around these things survive 90-120 days unless there is something like Sickle cell etc.
Then there is blood physics and left shift and right shift in the oxygen binding curve. Blood pH is important for physiology and when it is out of 7.35-7.46 range something is likely wrong with the body.
Although this range only includes about 95% of the population.
There is also blood chemistry which is complex and how your Doctor knows when you have a heart attack currently Troponin is the preferred marker but is likely used in combination with CK-MB or other markers.
There is also bacteria when bad bacteria is in the blood we call it Sepsis, this is bad. It’s very critical
Many times it’s Staph or Strep, Many types of these bugs exist like Strep A (Lancefield grouping from C Carbohydrate) this is also called pyogenes and has pyrogenic toxin. It likes Anaerobic environments with Streptolysin S protesting it and grows in chains. Staph is like a cluster.
@sippinndippin Slow down sippin because I think I knew two acronyms out of that whole essay you just gave me. I’m not sure if I became smarter or a little bit more stupid after reading that. I understood two acronyms you used in that whole paragraph and that’s only pH and CO2. I think you need to give us a class on what the rest are. Unless you are expecting me to google that information and finding it out. However, maybe, you take some sick pleasure from you being the crown of 1up-edness because your response was that brilliant to the point that it might become unreadable. I feel like you could have used that as a thesis statement.
I bought these last time despite the bad reviews on Amazon. I thought, well, maybe that won’t happen to me. It happened to me. Exploded blue all over our $30 couch pillow, our new polyester upholstered couch, and the back of my neck. A bag of ice works just as well and only explodes water. Or get an electric heating pad.
@bla5t0ff same here. First use and blue dye all over the tan couch. Maybe they’re fine if you wrap them and your valuables in Ziploc bags and/or Saran wrap first. But otherwise they are better off outside.
So far so good on the 1 (of the 2) that I’ve used from the last time around. I’ve only used cold, but I really like it, so crossing my fingers in hopes that it doesn’t start to leak. I don’t really want to have 5 laying around, but at this price I’m tempted just in case they do develop leaks.
I have to agree with the community here. It’d be one thing if these failed and we simply threw them out. It’s another when it fails and creates a huge mess that potentially ruins furniture and the like. Sorry Meh, but got screwed on this mystery shipping crate auction. I wouldn’t bother with these even if they were free.
Maybe you could secure the gel in your own triple sealed vacuum bags? Anyone who had these explode on you try that?
WAY too many bad reviews…here and on Amazon…Sorry, not supporting MEH when they sell REAL crap. Work too hard for my money.
But I DID take my MEH allowance and ordered a couple of awesome am/fm radios on ebay from China…same price, better quality…and something I din’t need but wanted anyway,…you know, the old MEH web strategy.
I was going to buy, but then read all the reviews on here about them exploding and ruining pillows and couches. The reviews on Amazon were not any better and a lot of those reviews were they got the product for free and reviewed it.
as a Respiratory Therapist…retired, HAPPY RESPIRATORY Therapy week…you old snot suckers…and now waiting for my first class of physics students to arrive to greet the day, an out of range pH where there has been shift, lower or higher than the given ranges above, truly are not compatible with human life. Being a little acid or basic is not as good for you as being a bit salty
