Wasn’t sure how to get a hold of the unofficial powers that be to ask this, but is there going to be a 2022 Unofficial Holiday Mehrican Exchange? If so, how do I get in?
The consensus so far is that it would be better to hold it after the holidays rather than before. Partially, that’s because the volunteer organizers have already got enough on their plates this year. I suspect that there may also be a tiny bit of “this will give me the opportunity to slide whatever I get from $SOURCE out the door without actually trashing it.” I know I’d have jumped at the chance to dispose of a certain monster bottle of Brut that way, back in the early '70s. (I got it twice, and passed it off again twice.)
@milstarr@werehatrack for me at the junior high dances it was either Brüt or Preferred Stock… I recently sought out a bottle of Preferred Stock just to catch a whiff of it to see what it smelled like and it was basically gasoline mixed with one or two more pleasant scents that were barely detectable but just enough of them to take the edge off. Way way worse than I remember.
@CharlieDoggo No no yon’t pack your hooman in the exchange box… you pack some stuff of yours to give away and hopefully get some stuff in return you like better. If you put in a pair of your hooman’s shoes - she has a lot of nice ones I bet another hooman might like a lot - maybe you will get crunchy frogs back. Or maybe not.
@werehatrack I just got back from vacation tonight. However, i might be going back on the road as my dad’s oldest brother is on his final approach from this plane of existence.

That sounds great to me. I’ll look for a post on it during the 12 days of the Mehrican Holiday Exchange.
I’m fine with doing it in January, or after the holiday madness, for sure. I was just afraid that I’d missed out!

@mbersiam I unfortunately can’t this year, getting ready to move. But would love to give somethings to someone on Meh instead of selling things. LOL
