I didn’t realize I had that complex of feelings about a phone accessory brand, but that write up almost brought a tear to me eye as I look around at all of the Belkin brand things I own. But I already have three charging stands, so I’ll pass.
Where does the cable plug into the device?. Will there be a wire sticking out from an awkward location or angle?. I can’t find a picture of it actually plugged in.
@sjk3 I don’t think there IS a cable you plug into the phone since it is for Qi equipped model phones only.
Check the list of compatible phones to see if your phone model is among those listed.
@LaVikinga I meant how the USB cable plugs into the charging device thingamabob. Does it plug into the top of the dohickey? Does it plug in to the side of the whatchamacallit? Does it plug into the back in such away that it sticks out of the thingamajig and makes it unstable?

I couldn’t find any photos showing it actually plugged in, but if you look closely at the photos here on Meh, there’s a little indent on the right side that looks like where the cable plugs in. I was able to find this FCC diagram that shows the device from all sides that confirms this is indeed where the cable plugs in.
So, those images in this sale showing a phone being charged without the cable hanging awkwardly off the side of the charger are a bit misleading. That’s definitely not an ideal placement, and probably a big reason why this product is here on Meh.
How does this compare to the Anker powerwave stand? That ones supposed to be fast-charging too, but it’s not even remotely close. Takes 45 minutes to get 10%.
@Skaene I have an Anker charging stand and it works well. It’s as fast as any other wireless charger. Certainly much faster than 10% in 45 minutes. Do you have a case that’s making it work less efficiently?
The Anker is also quiet. I had another brand in which the fan was so loud that I gave it away. This one has a fan but I don’t hear it at a normal distance.
@ParadisePete admittedly it very well could be the case. Testing it as we speak without it, so we’ll see how it goes.
I have, however, used it on another wireless charger with acceptable results though.
Granted, that was an official samsung one from the carrier store, so that might make a difference.
@Skaene The case I use is very thin and doesn’t seem to affect the charging at all. I don’t think it takes much distance though to reduce it. Mine has a fairly large target area, and if I place the phone off-center enough I can see by the changing indicator at the bottom that I need to adjust it.
Wireless charging in general makes little sense to me. Great way to make your phone hot. Also annoying when your phone is dying but you still want to use it and you can’t because it has to stay perched on its little pad.
The only exception to this would be in the car, where wireless charging on my car phone mount was a gamechanger.
@betaRepeating I find it’s great for watching videos in full screen while laying on my side. Phone gets to charge and I get to watch youtube in comfort. It helps that my bedside table is lower than the bed, so the tilt doesn’t get in the way of viewing.
@betaRepeating I leave mine in the wireless charger stand pretty much all day and it never gets hot, and I can watch videos etc, while it stays at 100% charge. I happen to have a Samsung EP-N5200 stand and Samsung Galaxy S20 5G.
@ws1o I use mine in the same way. I love having a wireless charger on my desk at home and at work (which right now are the same place, but I digress…). No fussy cable to mess with, just set it down and pick it up one-handed, and the phone stays charged all day. I’ve never noticed it getting warm.
@betaRepeating Also not to mention that the cord connector (Lightning connector in the case of Apple phones) is subject to wear and often the first thing to “fail” in your $1K phone. I always have a paranoia of that, because it happened to me on an older iPhone a few years ago. Also happened to my friend, who learned about using a spray-duster to clear out dust and lint from the connector area, and that worked. But anyway each time you plug in the cord you are pressing on the connectors internally. If you do this nightly, and hope to keep your phone for a few years, that’s like 1000 cycles of plugging and unplugging. With the wireless, you are just tossing it onto a stand and your connector remains very happy, though perhaps a bit lonely since it’s not doing that mating with the cord thing anymore.
@danlo I got nail polish there for $15, the same day there was a Mehrathon where I bought the exact same polish for $10. I’m giving the $15 bottles away, keeping the $10 for myself. Because, I’m not a cheap gift giver. lol
@FLyMyPretty@stevebopp only if you put the metal plate over the area of the phone where the pickup coil is. I’ve used wireless charging every night for over a year with case and steel plate for magnetic mounting- the plate is in the top corner of my iPhone and it works very well.

Mine came today. They are actually nicer than I expected. It charges my Samsung Galaxy S10+ the same as the official Samsung wireless fast charger.

Rapid is a marketing term that has no quantifiable measure. But 10W is definitely quantifiable, and Rapid it is not.

There are standup wireless chargers all over Amazon for less than $10 each. How is this any better other than the brand name?

It looks like there’s a small kickstand on the back - could it be used horizontally?
I know the description doesn’t say it, but do these work with Pixel phones? I believe that a lot of wireless chargers do not
@ddrylie Pixels use qi charging (Pixel 3, 3XL, 4, 4XL) so they will work. You won’t get the same charging speed as the Pixel stand though
@Potatoboy Yeah… in my experience with the Pixel stand, it’s not very fast to begin with. But maybe that’s because of the case on my Pixel 3.
