Talk about your amazing timing! At 10:20 this morning I had my thrice-yearly appointment with my psychiatrist to review my mood and renew my antidepressant prescription. The doc did his thing then sent me to a side room so his assistant could check my weight and blood pressure. The assistant did his own thing, then asked me to wait a minute while he checked with the doctor because my pulse came in awfully low. The doctor says (he said when he came back) that you should monitor your pulse, and consult with your regular doctor, because when people drop this low mumble mumble mumble pacemaker mumble. So by 1:30 this afternoon I had already gone online to Amazon and found a device very much like this one that meh has, and bought one of them for $9.99, and it will be on my wrist on Saturday. So there!
This may not be the appropriately cheap way to be solid with meh’s product offerings, but my compromise between wearing watches (which I like, if they’re at least somewhat classy or look unique), some smart watch trickery (mostly for notifications, since a phone screen is already limiting enough for most real usage), fitness tracker capabilities (because the wife said I needed one - prolly because I’m getting fat), and decent battery life (i.e. not charging an Apple Watch nightly)… My choice was a legit fitness tracker, in the form of the Fitbit Versa 2. Pretty slick package, decent smarts, great fitness tool, water resistant, and I charge it about every 5-6 days. All in all, pretty worth it for me.
But it costs more than these. And the wife still thinks I need to exercise more. Your mileage may vary
with the appnot being supported?..thinking thats not a great idea…
BTW…smart bands are great…I wear a Galaxy 2 watch on one hand and a vivosmart on the other. That Galaxy 2 would be fine but my wife likes Garmin as well. I would never have thought a smart watch is da bomb…but it’s got to be one of the best things I own tech wise.
You’re not worthless. Even if you don’t have GPS, you can get a map or ask for directions. Don’t listen to your wife. She’s just being spiteful for you getting lost all the time.
THESE ARRIVED TODAY IN WORSE SHAPE THEN THE PREVIOUS ONES . PACKED IN A THIN BOX AND SHIPPED IN A PLASTIC ENVELOPE . MY GUESS IS THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL CONTINUE TO HAPPEN .
Nope. Nope nope nope nope. NOPE. No thanks. Thanks.
I have a real smart watch. Yesterday, it told me Meh would be bad for me today. Ok, maybe it’s jealous too.
Comments must be broken.
@Euniceandrich
I commented once.

@Euniceandrich Its meh. All comments are “meh”, not broken. They just seem that way.

@getkind I like how your story sounded like it was going to be “this is perfect timing” but turned out to be “this is perfectly bad timing”.
@getkind if you’re seriously being told to monitor things by a doctor, you might want to rethink placing your health in the hands of a ~$10 device…
A smart watch/activity tracker that is not water resistant, awesome.
I cant wait for tomorrow so I can buy waterproof paper towels.
The only Fusion for me:

Sounds like a great way to kill a few hours trying to get both watches to work, declaring failure, and having several beers to lament the lost $20.
I found a previous listing, when they included the 3 color bands. Back then they said a charge lasted one week.
I bought one of these before, it would never connect to my phone’s Bluetooth

The deal is for two, but What’s in the Box? says “1x…”. How do we get the second one?

So, is this thing compatible with any fitness tracker apps?
@MilkyMoo The Amazon reviews say the official app for this is no longer supported. Edit: It was last updated Apr 1 2019.
Mi Band.
You’re welcome.
Agreed. But they’re twice as expensive!
Worthless without GPS.

How are these not great, inexpensive gifts, especially for children?

I have a Gear S3 classic. It’s fine.
