What this needs is a way to charge you phone wirelessly on the other side so that I can set my phone on top of the Mophie and then set the Mophie on my wireless charger. That would please the Redundancy Department of Redundancy.
The ability to charge this pack via Qi wireless charging is cool. And while the one USB-A port is useful, I don’t love Mophie’s built-in plugs. I have the mini USB-C packs, and they just don’t feel super durable where the cable extends from the battery pack, and they always have to sort of twist or wrinkle to get to your device. The built-in jacks feel better on my Jackery battery, which I use specifically for my camera gear, since I don’t need extra clutter of cables there. Ultimately, that weakness in this one, and the lack of a proper type C port are a bummer.
I would be much more interested in another Mophie model with a type C and type A connector, especially if it could do the same wireless charging (for the pack is cool, but both ways would be even more cool).
