My S.O. ordered these and wasn’t impressed, but I’m not entirely sure what the shortcoming was. I know that unlatching the lock to stick the freshly cut end into the buckle took a bit of poking with a sturdy screwdriver. Make sure that you follow the instructions, and DON’T cut the tip to shorten the belt; that’s where the special little teeth are formed in the margin of the belt to engage with the ones you don’t see on the inside of the buckle where the belt slides through to fasten. You’re not stuck with 1" increments with these, which ought to be nice, but for some reason the system was deemed unsatisfactory here.

The 6th picture with money hanging out of the wallet reminds me of a scene from the movie Fargo when Steve Buscemi’s character tries to bribe a cop.
Great movie - one of my favorites. Story, casting, acting and cinematography all top notch (IMO, of course.) Even the wardrobe - I love the hat Macy’s character wore. It was just inexplicable to watch it in June as I usually put it on around the first sub-zero day in winter.

My mind is blown away by the little icons on NY license. Obviously hunting, fishing, organ donor, marine, pet? That’s wild. In Ohio those licenses are required too, but not on the license. Also, they are yearly, and our IDs are not. It would suck to have a pet pass and have that on your ID.

It’s a terrible idea to put information with entirely different and independent lifecycles and overload that onto a driver’s license with a completely different “certification” period/lifetime.
The only one that aligns (and is useful in the context of driver’s licensing) is the organ donor one.
The rest are the direct brain farts of dumber-than-a-box-of-rocks state legislatures (who are almost exclusively also lawyers) who think annually renewed licenses that have nothing to do with driving go on a 4 to 6-year or longer drivers license. Clearly they are products of the underfunded educational systems for which they determine budgets in a self-fulfilling endgame to eliminate government and democracy in fealty to Capitalism and grift.

Not the behavior of the many cops I knew from the 70’s through the 90’s.Unjustified shootings by law enforcement is no small number.And most times when these shootings occur,cops play the “in fear for my life” card.Based on “I thought I saw”…“he was reaching for”.I say to those (and certainly not all cops),you’re in fear of the job!! Is this “gun out first” the new training template,a prevalent mindset boarding on paranoia,or just watching to damn many episodes of COPS

Every reversible belt that I’ve owned has snapped at the buckle - the reversible mechanism gives out too easily.
I miss belts that gave holes all the way around (by design, not with a drill).
