@JT954 Yeah, I have whatever new version of the Bose soundsports have the weird ribs designed to keep them in your ear, and even then they gradually dislodge from my ear canal over time. I’ll almost always use circumaural headphones when it’s not impractical to do so.

They hurt my ears after a while if I use the hooks that hold them in, otherwise if I use the smaller hooks, they fall out, but don’t hurt.
Having range problems with Bluetooth after 6 months of constant use. Haven’t tried another phone yet to see if it’s my phone… But my phone works fine with my other Bluetooth items. I lose signal if I put it in a pocket.

I’m over cheap BT headphones. They are never quite “right” – either fit, sound, features, or form factor, something always seems a little off. I’ve tried MPow, Taotronics, and a few other off-brands and always came away disappointed.
I had the Jabra Backbeat 2 for a while, and liked them, but the 4-hour battery has reduced to about 45 minutes over time. I picked up the Jaybird X3’s for $99 around Christmas time and couldn’t be happier. They sound and feel great, plus 8 hours of listening time. And I love they support 2 simultaneous connections – I can watch a video on my tablet, and answer my phone if it rings right from the headset.
I don’t really work out or anything, so I’m good with the Bluetooth headphones I’ve got. That said, I could buy 17 of these for a total of 34 pairs of headphones for the price I paid for my one pair. But, you know, sound quality and comfort are things.
@f00l I was considering those Sony ones for a bit. How does the round cushion work out? It always seemed pretty weird to me that they’d put round cushions for ears, since ears aren’t round. Just seems like the seal wouldn’t be that great and/or it would make them more like on-ear. And I very much dislike on-ear.
@f00l Yeah, I’ve got a pair of old Bose on-ear headphones and the sound quality is pretty good, but damn are they uncomfortable. Ear buds I can go longer but they do start to hurt after a while. My V-MODAs I sometimes forget I’m wearing except for the fact that there’s music playing. I wear them at work before the store opens and even after five straight hours, they’re still comfortable and I don’t really get issues with my ears getting too hot, even in the summer. Full cans are going to be more bulky, and it’s not comfortable to wear with glasses (I don’t need corrective lenses but I do use sunglasses), but overall they’re so worth it if you listen to a lot of music.

And Sonys are too bulky for me, running around. So decent music as an aesthetic pleasure happens at home.
As someone with certifiably tiny ears, I wish there were some product reviews for me to check out on Amazon. Or maybe a good picture of the earbuds from more angles.

Not sure this is such a screaming deal as Mpow Swift BT earbuds (which look exactly like these and it wouldn’t surprise me if they came out of the same Shenzhen, China factory) are marked down to <$15 from time to time.

@jds2001 Well, I’m about 8 hours too late. Good for me though. Last night I just saw the ‘earbuds’ part and completely skipped over the bluetooth thing. I couldn’t have used these anyway, and would have had to have held unto them for a year until I could slip them into a Christmas present.
I’ve literally never had a trouble-free experience with bluetooth. I don’t use Apple phones (Nexus 6P currently), and I don’t have bluetooth in my car, so the smartphone industry will have to pry my $.22 stereo cable from my cold, dead hands.
@RedOx I’m experiencing the same thing with the first of 2 pairs.
I get a static-y sound from the right bud when music or audio is playing; it eventually stops - when you’re not listening to music. You can almost ignore it, if you have the music cranked up high enough. Wait, no - you can’t. I really want to like them, but I just can’t get past the static.
If anyone who complained about missing the deal would like to buy mine, I’ll gladly sell them for what I paid! Anyone?.. no?
I guess you have to expect some crap with the good stuff, so this is (hopefully) the one for this year.
I’ll second the person above who suggests pairing and decreasing volume before putting them in your ears - these are absurdly loud. I have them all the way down and they are still a little loud for my preference, but tolerable. They work well across several rooms which I was surprised by. I usually have problems with fit and need to loop normal earbuds around the top of my ear and insert upside down (for example) to have any chance of them not falling out - surprisingly, not so with these guys - the fit well, feel comfortable, and don’t fall out with movement.
As far as sound quality goes, it’s what you’d expect from bargain bin BT earbuds - pretty poor, very faint hiss, echoey - but certainly good enough for tangle free podcasts while working or doing housework etc.
Aside from volume issue, my biggest problem with them is the annoying blinking blue light every ~3s - I have the white ones and it lights up the whole damn earbud with blue glow. A tiny LED on the bottom would be fine, but an internal LED that makes me look like I’m wearing a pulsating beacon in my ear… I’d get any other color just to get the black earbuds that I would imagine block that out.
I guess what puzzles me most (even more than selling the hell out puzzles me, I mean) is why Meh sold these at two pairs for twenty bucks instead of one pair for ten bucks. I would probably have gambled $10 for a pair, but $20 seemed to be pushing it.
Just popped mine out of the box, charging now. Manual doesnt mention how to tell if its fully charged. I see a little red light in one of the earbuds, does that turn off or change when it done charging?

I don’t think my ears are huge. The Sonys fit me nicely. Around not on. Comfortable to wear for hours.
I can’t do on-ears for more than 15 min.

So…I’ve only tested 2 out of 4 pairs (I abuse earbuds, wanted backups), both exhibit:
after 10s of minutes I have yet to perfect changing the volume without changing the track, it sporadically goes to the next song.
Vol button is flaky. Sometimes there is the high pitched noise, sometimes static - comes and goes, re-pairing helped a couple times.
Default volume (and when powering on / pairing) is at an eardrum piercing 50%. I recommend pairing and adjust vol before insertion.
Buyers remorse level 1000, these are pieces of shit I’ll only use if in dire need to drown out background noise situations.
Edit: all 4 have static - only when the audio plays. If I pause the music, after about 6 seconds it stops, press play and it comes back.
