I’m sorry but I had no choice; I accepted long ago that it is simply my lot in life to notice benign typos, bring them to everyone’s attention, and proceed to spend all my free time not hanging out with anyone because who wants to hang out with that douchedick
Sure, I want the Chinese, Russians, and CIA to see in my house and who is at my door. Who am I kidding? The CIA can’t hack out of a paper sack. Hmmm, there’s that black car again.
@k9mckaig I’ve got one. Had it for over a year. No complaints at all Has been very stable, if a little slow for live talking to the delivery guy. Liked mine enough that I recommended it to my daughter and in laws. No complaints from anyone.
I own the earlier model of the pivot in black as well as the doorbell cameras. I also own a RING doorbell.
The picture quality of the Zmodo doorbell is much better than the RING IMO. The only issue I have had with the Zmodo products is the app crashes sometimes when trying to use the intercom feature, and the Wi-Fi drops out if the signal is not good and strong from your Internet wireless AP. I solved the connection problem by purchasing a Belkin Wi-Fi dual-band booster and placing it halfway between my doorbell and the main Wireless Access Point.
Been using this for about 6 months now and I really like it. the cameras pretty good and the night vision is excellent. it saves clips of when it gets alerted. the microphone and speaker are not so great but I never use them. and I also like the temperature and humidity. with my father being disabled I can check in on him at night with out having to get up. In my opinion it’s worth the money
Zmodo Pivot is good enough for the price. The picture is clear enough to tell which of your cats is lurking around and the sound is clear enough to make your cats wonder why you’ve turned into a small white tower. Temperature and humidity updates can assure your furry family is comfortable enough while you’re away. No, I wouldn’t use these as my primary defense to a million dollar home, but if you want to check up on your cats while you’re at work, it certainly gets the job done.
@Fen_Star he’s laughing because his pet ferret always pees on the couch and that’s his roommate using a blacklight to find and clean the urine stains while dressed in an improvised hazmat suit.
(over two-way audio)
Guy: What’s wrong, Greg? (giggles) Does it smell like ferret pee or something?
Greg: Stop watching me on your perv-cam, perv.
Guy: L-O-L, Greg. You cray. I like you, but you cray.
Greg: (mumbling) I can’t wait unit this lease is up…

I used to have this doorbell cam, but switched to a Ring for 2 reasons: better Amazon Alexa compatibility and less notification lag
Pros:
-Image and sound was fine
-Some amount of FREE cloud storage for motion-based recording
Cons:
-There was a delay between the time someone rang the doorbell and when I got the notification on my phone. I usually didn’t have time to answer it before the person wandered off.
-Can be tricky to perform the initial setup*
*When first pairing the doorbell camera to your app, turn off your mobile data connection on your phone. Make sure ONLY wifi is available. It requires you to connect directly to the camera over wifi for the initial pairing and my phone was trying to be helpful by falling back on the mobile data connection as it detected the camera’s signal had no Internet. (it’s not supposed to have internet, stupid phone!) Once I shut off my mobile data, I was able to proceed through the setup to pair the camera to the app/account.
I got a zmodo doorbell from morningsave.com, it never worked. Not even a light or a sound. DOA. Morningsave said to call zmodo, Noone answered or called back from zmodo. $50 out of the window.
Make remind yourself, everyone.
@warpedrotors YOU BEAT ME TO IT dag nabbit

@ThunderChicken (ಥ﹏ಥ) thank you so much

@hchavers @unksol
/Woooooosh right over your head
@hchavers Golly you sound smart.
Amazonian set a RECORD for low ratings on this crap! Thanks meh… how about a meal before the next flogging.
@k9mckaig Seriously… those are some scathing reviews.

“ IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A WIRED DOORBELL, THIS WILL NOT WORK”
Oooooor could do what I did and buy an adapter like to turn my ring doorbell from battery powered to electric power by buying the adapter…
You just wrap the wire around the studs you would wrap the existing doorbell wires around and plug the adapter into an outlet an voila…
This one says it works specifically with this Zmodo Smart Greet Doorbell
Power Adapter for Ring Video Doorbell,Power Supply for Ring Video Doorbell& Ring Video Doorbell 2,Ring Video Doorbell Pro,Nest hello and Zmodo Smart Greet Wi-Fi Video Doorbell

@ConcealedPsycho so you now have a wired doorbell. Since that’s how literally all wired doorbells work…
@ConcealedPsycho “Suit For All Ring Doorbells.” Really dresses them up for when guests arrive at your formal parties.

Time for a Mehrathon anytime soon?
@jsh139 I dunno but I get a haunting suspicion they will be dropping those cursed dollies in today’s video into the next batch of IRKs.
@jsh139 Interesting daily email this morning…
@raccoon81 I know, right?
@Dave Where does the Door/Window Sensors (4-Pack) come into play? Are they included with the two-fers?
With the creepy hacking of home security cameras, no thanks. Don’t want to hear a random person talk to me through these things.
