@transplant I’ve been trying to figure out how to convey the hardness and heft of those pillows. The closest I can come is: remember when you left your Nerf football outside all winter, and then it turned into a kind peeling foam rock? Imagine a pillow filled with those petrified Nerf rocks, and you have that bamboo pillow
@norman8 Yes! Ugh! Moved into a house with the whole side yard filled with it. What a pain. Covered the ground with black plastic and bark to keep it from growing back.
Under the Textile Fiber Products Identification Act and the Textile Fiber Rule, textile fibers must be labeled and advertised as provided by the FTC. Textiles can only be called bamboo if they are made directly from actual bamboo fiber. Textiles made from rayon (or viscose, which is the same thing) that was created using bamboo as a plant source may be labeled and advertised as “rayon (or viscose) made from bamboo.” Sellers are responsible for ensuring that their textile products are labeled and advertised correctly. Below you’ll find plain-language guidance for businesses that make, advertise or sell so-called bamboo textiles, and information about Commission enforcement actions and warning letters.
@Bloodhorde@sammydog01 The link he provided and the link you provided are two completely different products, thus the different grades. It’s not weird at all.
A tip if you purchase - they are very hard when you get them. You will need to break them up. The best way is to put them in the dryer on tumble dry for a couple cycles.
@afwaller Ok, thanks. So after you do that are they still not great? Or slightly better than not great? I assume they never make it up as far as great.
@fastharry@Felton10 The tower arrived today, and you’d think a hoard of chipmunks arrived too. We packed those yogurt pretzels in our cheeks like there was going to be 6 more weeks of winter. Should have bought more.
So many of the Amazon reviews mention a smell, if Meh is selling these are they possibly moldy? Why are they so cheap? There has to be something other then they suck so much, that nothing else in this category sucks nearly as much as these super sucky examples of suck-tacularness. If not they are still Meh, no Bluetooth, no use for my now aging fridge stored batteries.
@bleedmichigan The smell is just memory foam chemicals, not foam. The price is artificially raised, camelcamelcamel says these used to retail for $20 each.
OK, Meh. Now you claim, “WE’RE SOLD OUT EXCEPT FOR A SMALL AMOUNT WE SET ASIDE FOR EXISTING VMP MEMBERS TO BE RELEASED AT 4PM ET.” Am I one of the existing VMP members you’re gonna release at 4PM ET? If so, I’d better get dressed.
@gertiestn Looks like it. My guess is that there’s maybe another 80 packs or so reserved, so at the strike of 4pm ET, get ready to order. It’s probably not going to last long.
Fluffing in the dryer is the only way to get these pillows to resemble pillows.
Slightly more comfortable than: gravel; pinecones; used cat litter; crushed soda cans; marbles; candy corn.
A close comparison to the pillows linked to Amazon shows that these are not the same pillows. The ones on Amazon have plusher cases by far. Searching the two product numbers only gets hits for meh’s website. These are probably knock-offs.
My pillows were taking a while to puff out due to being out in the cold, so I ran them through the dryer. Totally worth it. My wife and I are really enjoying them. No complaints here.
@GospelX Are you running them through the dryer on low, medium or high setting? I put mine through low for 20 mins (new dryer, not sure how serious it is) and let them sit overnight. Still not quite seeing the regular pillow shape, but perhaps the resemblance of a post pillow fight pillow?
@FeistyTwoBears@GospelX My previous experience with shredded foam pillows was that it took a full drying cycle on no/low heat to get them puff up and fill out properly. YMMV
@FeistyTwoBears I just followed the instructions on the label. Since I don’t have that anymore, it’s hard to say. Try 30 minutes on low. If that doesn’t work, follow-up with another 20 minutes on low. Repeat until the pillows look right. (Maybe 10-15 minutes on high won’t hurt?)
This memory foam forgot how to be comfortable. They are like pillowcases filled with large stones, twigs and soil. If you’re into camping you’ll adore them. I donated mine to the homeless … and felt guilty.
@radi0j0hn every pillow is a My Pillow once you own it. How you can patent shredding foam is the real mystery. My dog was doing that way before that company was started.
Are these crunchy? My wife can’t use "Mypillow"s because she says they are crunchy. Pillows really are subjective. I was about to buy her one… make that two, but she wants to know, are they crunchy?
Don’t like these. Found them too hard and difficult to adjust to my liking. Always felt like sleeping on chunks of foam (big suprize)and lumpy. The dog likes them.
I got mine in yesterday and followed the directions (let set for 30 minutes before using is about it). I let them sit overnight actually. I woke up this morning hoping they would look a lot more like a pillow, but NO… they more resemble the shape of ramen noodles prior to cooking. Very wavy, and compact. I am sure hoping it gets better, but after 10hrs I am not holding my breath.
It does mention you can try to put them in the dryer for a bit so I will likely try that tonight.
@RascalMJ Got mine 3 days ago. Dryer on high for 30 mins fluffed mine right up! They’re comfortable, and the right amount of firm for me. Don’t know why people are complaining. Hope it worked for you. I have the king size because the others were sold out, but I’m guessing size shouldn’t make a difference (cue Michael Scott).
So I also ordered these about two weeks ago… they said processing until I messaged asking what’s going on with my order… now they deleted my order and haven’t refunded me… wtf? Literally didn’t even get a response explaining what’s going on.
@Kidsandliz@Thumperchick responded with another generic copy/paste response not even addressing why my order disappeared in the first place. Clearly I need to make my purchases elsewhere.
@jayache There was an issue with the inventory on these and we had to cancel a few orders. You should have received an email detailing that. We’ll respond to your case. Also, no copy and pastes here. Sorry for the trouble.
@jayache@Thumperchick I have always found customer service has dealt fairly with the few issues I have had. Generally it takes a handful of days but in the end they have always been fair and reasonable.
@ChadP this is all I ask for. Thank you. My initial response was literally just a notification of my order being cancelled with no reasoning behind it. Again thank you.
These pillows have been pretty awesome after a quick trip in the dryer upon arrival. However, they are starting to lose shape and becoming less and less comfortable. I am hoping to throw them in the dryer again and get similar results
After reading the reviews on hardness on Amazon, I have a feeling I know where the remaining candy corn went…
@fastharry if these had candy corn in them you know the fine folks at Meh would list that as the top feature, perhaps the only feature.
@fastharry I have a pair of the non-shredded ones and the candy corn is probably softer than these pillows.
Fool me once…
Bought these, oh 18 months ago? I’m using one of these as a doorstop.
Meh!
@transplant Came here to say the same exact thing!
@looseneck @transplant They do say this in the specs:
@looseneck @narfcake
Does Meh take trade-ins?
@transplant I’ve been trying to figure out how to convey the hardness and heft of those pillows. The closest I can come is: remember when you left your Nerf football outside all winter, and then it turned into a kind peeling foam rock? Imagine a pillow filled with those petrified Nerf rocks, and you have that bamboo pillow
@lehigh “Sacks of concrete” are the words you’re looking for.
@transplant I believe meh’s trade-in program automatically defaults to $0. I do applaud them for convenient drop-off locations, however:
/s
@transplant They are great for pillow fights, if you hate the people yoyu are fighting against.
Bamboo? Have you ever tried to get rid of bamboo???
@norman8 Yes! Ugh! Moved into a house with the whole side yard filled with it. What a pain. Covered the ground with black plastic and bark to keep it from growing back.
@Fuzzalini @norman8 I wish I could afford a side yard.
@MichaelinOK @norman8 I wish I could too. That was when I was a kid and my parents had a huge house.
@Fuzzalini @norman8 Just adopt a panda. Problem solved!

@support that’s a lot of info I won’t remember or care about in…
Look something shiny!
@support My first thought when I saw the item name.
My batteries are safe tonight.
@shahnm Well if they are hibernating in your fridge tucking them in on a pillow might be more comfortable for them…
I never knew how much I liked a firm pillow until I bought these from Meh in July 2016. TIme to reup.

@Bloodhorde that’s pretty neat, somehow I’ve never seen that before
@Bloodhorde The second link got an A:
https://www.fakespot.com/product/plixio-deluxe-cooling-shredded-memory-foam-pillow-with-bamboo-hypoallergenic-cover-2-pack-queen
Weird.
@Bloodhorde @sammydog01 The link he provided and the link you provided are two completely different products, thus the different grades. It’s not weird at all.
@Bloodhorde @thammer you don’t know fakespot? Fakespot is life.
I fell asleep on the couch (with a purple Meh blanket at my feet) and missed the start of today’s deal, which seems appropriate.
Meh pillow-
shredded head vs bed head?
@Kidsandliz Shredded head and bed head.
More realistically? Maybe for the price but the reviews are typical meh for the actual one.
If my memory serves me right…
@rileyper I see someone else caught that.
Is there such a thing as revenge buying?
Just 'cause I hate that smug, cross-wearing Mr. Whipple wanna be so much!
I bought these last time, they are not great.
@afwaller @WaltC Per the specs:
Not as thick and miserable as the last ones? You promise? Because I could maybe use a couple of less thick and miserables ones.
BTW, where the eff is my MADCAP ADVENTURE KIT…which, 10 days later, still shows processing?
/giphy WTF?
@fastharry Bet if the orange diarrhea pills had an expiration date on them they would have shipped before the tower of candy crap.
@fastharry @Felton10 The tower arrived today, and you’d think a hoard of chipmunks arrived too. We packed those yogurt pretzels in our cheeks like there was going to be 6 more weeks of winter. Should have bought more.
@Woody1 Morningsave has an entire section of recent Meh non-sellouts. They only have the smaller tower left though.
https://morningsave.com/events/meh-com-encore-6
Where are the queen size ones? BTW-I love those bamboo memory foam pillows you previously sold-am still using them.
Lol at “butt” in the specs.

At times the Model # comments can be clever, even witty however, this is just pathetic: Model: HG1203 – the HG is for “head goer-under”.
From one of the top amazon reviews :
“it[’]s like sleeping on a sack of flour…”

@PlainJane62 Would that be bricked or unbricked candy corn?

I hope the shredding is a fine shredding.
I’m in. Gotta be better than the ones at Dollar General. If not, the cats have new places to snooze.
@radi0j0hn

Bamboo is one of the hardest woods there is. Who makes a pillow with bamboo? Better question is who is the sucker who buys it? Oh, Meh…
@hchavers Only the pillowcase is made from bamboo.
The pillow itself is made from shredded foam.
@punkynpye The reviews tell a different story.
Gonna try this as part of the morning crowd.
/giphy fast-tough-stranger
With the “soft sell” email subject, I was expecting references to Tainted Love.
If they’re good, they’re mine. If not… Guest pillows!

@FeistyTwoBears foam often doesn’t do all that well with heat so I’d think air only or low would be what you’d need to do.
@FeistyTwoBears @GospelX Medium Heat

Do these get hot fast?
@JT954 yes
I gotta ask: How do these compare to the (maybe) patented ones made in Minnesota “as see on TV?”
@radi0j0hn every pillow is a My Pillow once you own it. How you can patent shredding foam is the real mystery. My dog was doing that way before that company was started.
@radi0j0hn They have a much smaller advertising budget. Perhaps implying a much larger pillow quality budget?
@radi0j0hn Who ever owns this company probably is not a Drumpf supporter…
I’ve never seen You’ve Got Mail. Does it have a pillow fight in it?
It’s like sleeping on a bag of flour. These are awesome in pillow fights though.
Are these crunchy? My wife can’t use "Mypillow"s because she says they are crunchy. Pillows really are subjective. I was about to buy her one… make that two, but she wants to know, are they crunchy?
@Joedetroit Not if you buy the jar marked Creamy.
Are they dirty??
is that supposed to be the baby arm on that guy? If not …he needs to start using the other hand…
How does something with such atrocious reviews get sold out? These sound terrible!
@goldnectar If it’s cheap enough …
Sold out before noon ET! The midnight-morning crowd strikes again!
@dsandman87 They only had 1500 of them. Not a big lot.
Don’t like these. Found them too hard and difficult to adjust to my liking. Always felt like sleeping on chunks of foam (big suprize)and lumpy. The dog likes them.

@gregormehndel oh for sure… The dryer tip\trick worked wonders. I’m still testing it out but I think they’ll work ok
@RascalMJ I placed mines in the dryer on medium heat with a couple of tennis balls. And now all I can say is… Perfection!!!
Ugh. I thought they were supposed to be “softer” than the others
Thanks for the dryer tip, I will try since after 2 days they are not any thicker that when they first unrolled.
I like buckwheat pillows. That’s how you define firm.
Amazon description says they help with TMJ. How so??
Only king sized left? Meh.
Please help! What is the url to purchase? TY!
@HoneyIMHome Same: meh.com
Holy crap, still processing?!
@Empurfektion Every sale has an estimated delivery date clearly posted.
I have a tempur pedic shredded foam pillow just hope these are some what close so i dont have to pay 100 bucks for a dam” pillow again …
Bought these a few weeks ago. Do you deliver them by horseback?
@schmaltzman from the item specs page:
So I also ordered these about two weeks ago… they said processing until I messaged asking what’s going on with my order… now they deleted my order and haven’t refunded me… wtf? Literally didn’t even get a response explaining what’s going on.
@jayache @thumperchick^^^
@jayache @Kidsandliz CS works M-F. You wrote in Sunday - give us a chance to get to you. (I found your case and responded.)
@Kidsandliz @Thumperchick responded with another generic copy/paste response not even addressing why my order disappeared in the first place. Clearly I need to make my purchases elsewhere.

@kidsandliz it’s already past my estimated delivery date. Mine was March 16th - March 18th. Otherwise I wouldn’t have inquired at all.
Total crap. I want my money back
awful, awful. they never regained shape and are crunchy! the fibers within are pieces of hard crap.
These pillows have been pretty awesome after a quick trip in the dryer upon arrival. However, they are starting to lose shape and becoming less and less comfortable. I am hoping to throw them in the dryer again and get similar results
DIPLOMAT! RAT-A-TAT! FAT CAT! AWESOME!
