Fold them and make them smaller? I want bigger ones… I’m 74 inches tall. I prefer to have a blanket comfortably cover my feet while laying on my couch.
That man is 5’9", or 69". You’re 5 inches taller. Your shoulder height is then likely 4 inches taller (assuming your head is a little taller than his head). His shoulder height is 4’9", or 57". So your shoulder height is 61". The blanket is 67" tall but since it’s not stiff as a board, it probably loses a few inches in various hills and valleys.
I think it’d cover your toes, but it probably depends on your definition of “comfortably”. Then again, you do get two.
Yeah, comfortably is a bit vague, I admit. Put it this way… Let’s assume that I put the blanket because I’m cold or chilled. It stands to follow that I would want my feet more or less completely covered. That means, at the very least, the is blanket draped over my feet by a number of inches. More likely even (for me, anyway), the blanket will be casually tucked under my feet, requiring even more length.
Regardless, I wouldn’t want a blanket to “just barely” be able to cover my body from shoulders to covering toes. (Thanks @dave )
@haydesigner Along the same lines as @dave, I wanted to see if this blanket would work. I made some assumptions:
you are a 2-dimensional rectangle
your shoulders are 18" wide
your head (or the part of you that you don’t mind being uncovered) is 9" tall
I found that, yes, it’s not really possible to cover your feet completely and not leave at least a shoulder uncovered.
HOWEVER, if you cut out the little triangle outlined in red and stitch it to the other side of the blanket, and lie at the angle shown, you can cover your whole body and maybe have a little left over to tuck under your feet.
Just lie perfectly still and rigid, and have an assistant drape the modified blanket at the appropriate angle. Also try and take up as little space as possible along the Z-axis.
@haydesigner I agree. the only acceptable solution is to do as the copy says, cut them into phone wipe sizes then sew them all back together patchwork style until it’s big enough.
@djslack I was thinking the same thing and then it occurred to me: for $12, I don’t care. They can be the thing I throw in the boot of the car and forget until I need to drive home with a cold or wet dog / cat / child / space alien.
@sammydog01 Had to get rid of the cats. They were evil. Their favorite game was finding tiny air bubbles in paint and using them as a starting point for digging a hole in the wall. That and trying to trip you at the top of the steps. Oh, and pissing on my bed.
I thought adopting two kittens would be double the fun.
Last time I bought 2 of these but they never showed up. The post office says they were delivered to my lockbox, but I never got them. I left a note for my mailman and the post office won’t return my calls.
Based on that, I assume they’re good enough for a federal crime.
Hate to say it, meh, but Microfibers are polluting our fish and food chain. Tossed all of our Micro rags. If ur never going to wash them, then they’re OK to buy.
I started to buy and thought lets just look at the patterns for a moment… then meh no way… my wife would not let me get these even for dog blankets…not sure they would go with anything…mehbe that’s the point
Hmm, Spanish… So, you got a good deal on these because they were destined for Mexico but the giant Cheeto decided they weren’t allowed to be sent across the border until they paid for a wall?
@doorjammin Don’t know about the VIPM, but know for sure you don’t have a VMP badge by your user name. You can go to the very top of the page and click on the VMP button (I don’t know if it shows for non-VMP mehmbers) or the “account” button – that will tell you about your VMP membership, if you have it. Look under account/Your account, down by “Payment settings”.
Still not buying anything with the word “random” where meh chooses the style/color. I still don’t know what I’ll do with three baby poo brown meh shirts, supposedly picked at random. lol
My house has just been declared a sanctuary. These are immigrants who don’t speak English, and they will be protected. They are Frazadas, Hecho en China, Importador: Tiendas Soriana, and nothing on the tag is in English. They’re nicer than I expected, and they didn’t come apart when washed. I got the blue pack.
I got the blankets and there’s this black residue on some of the stitching on the bottom as well as on the bottom of the outside of the fleece as well. Dunno if it’s from storage or what
Sorry - but gotta throw down the bullshit card on the manufacturers statement that these are “reversible”. Plain off-white Hankie-type thin cotton material sewn on as the backing does not fill the roll they have applied to their label. I mean, you can easily see the striped design of the other fabric thru it - it’s that thin. Good enough for beach/picnic/dog blankets, which thankfully is what I bought them for; but to use as a throw/blanket, or to gift, these are really cheap looking & feeling.

Does this mean you’ll be selling swim trunks in December?
While you mentioned you can make them smaller by folding, I’d like to make them bigger and folding won’t do that LOL
@Kidsandliz …Just unfold it then, that should work…
@Kidsandliz you’re getting two - isn’t double size big enough?
Meh: We’re the .5%.
@mr_crash_davis meh too
@mr_crash_davis meh three.
useless as tits on a nun for margaritas…
Fold them and make them smaller? I want bigger ones… I’m 74 inches tall. I prefer to have a blanket comfortably cover my feet while laying on my couch.
@haydesigner Sew two together?
@haydesigner Unfold them?
Does the same blanket also have to cover your head? Your nipples? Where is the other end of the “blanket must cover” area?
@haydesigner this would totally cover your feet. Use the second one to cover the rest!
@haydesigner Let’s take a look:

And no, @djslack, I’d prefer it not be nipply

@haydesigner I’m telling @Barney how tall you are.
@haydesigner I agree. the only acceptable solution is to do as the copy says, cut them into phone wipe sizes then sew them all back together patchwork style until it’s big enough.
@awk, I absolutely love that you did that
These look pretty nice. Too bad I just bought those flying monkey sleeved blankets.
If only they were $2 each…
My cats told me to buy these.
@JohnMorris my cats and my toddler
At first I thought, “meh, those are some ugly blankets.”
Then I thought, “well, they’re not as ugly as the last random blankets.”
Then I thought, “they might make perfect dog blankets, the dogs don’t care about color combinations.”
Last I thought, “better check with the wife first since even dog blankets may fall under the umbrella of ‘home decoration’.”
See you in the morning, Meh.
@djslack Your first thought was accurate. Uglier than a crack-house mattress cover.

/buy
@Woody1 It takes a damned ugly blanket to keep one of my nap-happy pups from laying on it.
@accumulator good thinking, but /buy only works as the first thing on a new line in primary comments, not replies.
@djslack thanks.
Let’s see if this works:

Dang, wouldn’t you know. Just stocked up on some sleeved blankets.
@lordbowen Me too!
@sammydog01 And we’re not the only ones. Unfortunate timing.
@lordbowen We may be the only ones on this site. Not everyone can pull off an orange cape.
sizable-guarded-moth
Bought a bunch of much nicer ones last christmas sale season for $3 a pop. From Kohl’s I think.
Just looked it up. The were Cannon throws from K-mart for $2 each. I have too many.
@ponagathos Or not enough cats?

Evil I say.
If these are really soft and stay cool, I’ll buy. If these are meant for warmth, I’ll have to pass.
I didn’t know Irk was so athletic!
@sammydog01 He’s not, he couldn’t even put his helmet on right!
Yeah, fine, I haven’t bought anything today.
/giphy gurgling-tasty-respect
I have plenty of blankets…I’m covered.
i wish you guys would sell pickles or something
@thechinglish I believe blankets fall under “something”.

I was kinda tempted until I took another pass through to look at the colors. Those are some deeply ugly blankets. My cat deserves better, …man.
Last time I bought 2 of these but they never showed up. The post office says they were delivered to my lockbox, but I never got them. I left a note for my mailman and the post office won’t return my calls.

How big do fibers have to be to stop calling these “microfiber”? I can see those fibers from a mile away!
@caryrh macrofiber?
At first I thought it was old fashioned Christmas candy.
/me tries to take a piece and ends up with the entire bowl stuck to said piece.
Those are some deeply ugly blankets.
This is my blanket statement …
Hate to say it, meh, but Microfibers are polluting our fish and food chain. Tossed all of our Micro rags. If ur never going to wash them, then they’re OK to buy.

I feel bad for the sweaty slave children who had to produce these rags…

I agree with others and so I got cold feet on this deal. (72 inches long, lying down, blankets are 67-in. so it’s either cold head or cold feet…)
@pskemp2 With two, you could cover your head with one and put the other over your body.
I don’t care how ugly they are this is hardly a good deal for small blankets! I am starting to loose Meh faith!
I was just looking for a fleece throw last night in Amazon, but didn’t pick one out. But yay! Meh is selling two of 'em for $12 today! What luck!
Unfortunately, they’re so ugly, I wouldn’t get 'em if you gave me the blankets with $12 wrapped inside. I’ve never seen such ugly color combos.
No wonder these things are selling for below bargain-basement prices.
Edit: Folks, these are “throws”; they’re not meant to cover you from head to toe, but are rather lap blankets. That’s why they’re on the small side.
I got some that were just a little smaller (good for keeping in the cars) from Academy Sports for $1 each. Looks like you can get the grey ones for $2.50 online.
http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/academy-sports--outdoors™-fleece-blanket
@medz these aren’t lined with the microfiber. Not saying that’s worth the extra $4/blanket, but just sayin’ it’s not the same product.
@jitc ok
Most standard single ply throws are 60" long, so in the throw universe, these are big. And lined.
Still not buying anything with the word “random” where meh chooses the style/color. I still don’t know what I’ll do with three baby poo brown meh shirts, supposedly picked at random. lol
@Roadie
/giphy this!
probably get a pink blanket with duckies on it instead of the pictured ones
Bought 3 (6) for teen kids living in a home for disadvantaged youth who are college bound.
@LittleLulu That’s worth doing. Besides, most of these won’t show pizza stains much.
I actually fell for this. I’m pretty sure I got fleeced
Microfiber
Eyeglass
Hankies
