So in theory, I can take my batteries out of the fridge, put them in these handy containers, and then take them out and about for a while without fear of losing freshness?
@somf69 If in fact candy corn has insulator properties that contribute to maintaining the all important battery freshness, then yes. Definitely yes. Good thought. Noted.
What has happened to Meh? Two for Tuesday was $10 for two insulated mugs, now their $9.50 each. Bring back the old Meh, before they entered the high faluting wine crowd. We miss the old Meh.
Lid looks impossible to clean if you ask me. The lid is the most important feature of these cups - assuming they are all relatively good at keeping temps and don’t leak, the ability to keep a clean drinking hole is pretty much the deciding factor for me. I’ll never buy a cup without checking out the underside of the lid and the mechanism. Hate that dried coffee stuff hidden under the hole-hider slider, or up in some spring contraption, or in some tiny crevice in the underside.
Honest question: is “Isabel” printed on the cup anywhere? It’s the spelling of my daughter’s name and I always buy anything with her name on it because it’s hard to find stuff with that spelling on it
Snark aside, this really is a shamefully bad deal. Some buyer got totally suckered on this one, unless you’ve marked them up 200%. I’m honestly surprised and saddened at this one.
@chienfou I didn’t mention those things because RedCard users better know they get the 5%. Even using the card, you still have to hit the $25 minimum to have it shipped to you but Ship to Store is free regardless of the size of the order.
@cinoclav that’s true, I mentioned as an FYI for those that may not know about redcard. BTW is the shipping thing new? I’ve bought stuff before that shipped free for ≤ $25…
I once had a cellmate named Bubba. He was a tall drink of water. A real rough-and-tumble dude. “Quiero tomar café contigo,” I said. Didn’t end well, and I ended up in a vacuum-insulated, leak-proof, unheated hospital cell nicknamed “The Igloo.”
@RedOak Too bad Bubba closed shop. Our lids kept breaking & they couldn’t just sell or give replacement lids, they thought they needed to send you a whole cup/lid set. Can’t keep a business going that way. Loved that they were dishwasher safe though. Are these?
@emt305 where are you getting the impression Bubba Brands “closed shop”?
They appear to be very alive. Their site is up. They are still a Newell/Rubbermaid company.
We own 6 of those meh sourced Bubbas and only one top broke… truth be told, when we dropped it. Bubba promptly replaced it.
I use my primary Bubba every single day, have dropped it on pavement many times, and it continues to be leak-free. Its battle scars are a badge of honor!
@RedOak I received an email saying that they were sorry but they were not going to be able to honor their warranties for the travel mugs because they had discontinued them and were not making any lids to fit them. I just reread the email and I must’ve been having a hard day, I don’t read anything that says they’re going out of business, just discontinued my product. Thanks for bringing that to my attention! I love my Bubba’s, nothing beats them (well, maybe a Yeti, but who wants something to stay hot/cold that long?)
@emt305 that is an unfortunate response. If they have discontinued a model that has a lifetime warranty, the proper response would be to send you the newer model!
In fact, that is exactly what they did when we cracked the flap on a top after dropping it - they sent an entire new tumbler.
@Lazarpandar Bubba can shove it. My kids broke those, never a Contigo! And my god are the Bubba lids crap. I really do love the actual mug part though.
@rtjhnstn kinda expensive. For $98 plus shipping you can buy 7 bottles of powdered lube that makes roughly the same amount as that giant drum. Just add water.
You finally sucked me back into your Great Deals- I would like to reserve a set of this Tuesday Brewster, Aye? Or Tues Brews! Whatever! Just Don’t Sell Them All & That Command Comes Straight From The Commander In Chief, The Donald, Yor Fan,
Lt. Dan
@lbrooks15 Yeah, was wondering that-- to many of these cheap travel mugs have that rubber/plastic thing on the bottom break free then fill with water. I’ll stick with my Copco mug for daily use and Bubba mugs for trips
@dino2269 I want to make sure we get accurate numbers for you. Please answer the following.
What is the starting temperature for both the liquid and the ambient room temperature?
At what min/max temperature threshold do you still consider the beverage cold/hot?
What type of liquid is in there?
Does the cold liquid have ice? If so, how much?
Will the cup remain full and unopened during the duration of the test?
Edit: if you don’t care about it being accurate, this link
says 24 hours cold and 8 hot.
I Love my Bubba’s and should have contacted them when I broke a lid. The problem I am noticing now, is that mine aren’t keeping the coffee hot, even with preheating./cry
Still rocking my bubba bling, meh…
@Mehcromancer That was the good old days, eh?
2-FOR-TUESDAY: BUBBA 20OZ HERO TUMBLERS
QUANTITY: 1 1X SMOKE, 1X ROSE GOLD @ $12
@sligett Yes love my Bubba’s big and small
So in theory, I can take my batteries out of the fridge, put them in these handy containers, and then take them out and about for a while without fear of losing freshness?
@shahnm while being filled with candy corn…
@somf69 If in fact candy corn has insulator properties that contribute to maintaining the all important battery freshness, then yes. Definitely yes. Good thought. Noted.
@shahnm I also like how they are kinda shaped like batteries, which makes it obvious what they are for. Nice design detail.
@awk We’re getting a bit meta for my taste, now…
@shahnm If you put batteries, make sure you don’t fill it with coffee!
@shahnm @givemehdeal
https://shirt.woot.com/offers/coffee-recharge?ref=meh_com
@narfcake That goes against everything I have been taught to believe.
/giphy aghast
@shahnm pre-freeze candy corn… Voila heat sink!
@chienfou McGuyver would be proud!
It is spelled: covfefe
When are you guys going to go into the coffee business instead of the wine business? Also can I put my wine in these to go along with my gesturing?
@vinuash Now that is something I would get behind. I don’t drink alcohol but I love coffee. I would most certainly join that kick starter.
Meh. These 16 ounce and 20 ounce mugs are mere trifles. Come back with one that’s at least 24 ounces.
@lljk It comes in a two pack so you have enough space between the two for a single serving. Twice as much to wash, meh. 24 oz is a minimum.
@lljk Why stop at 24oz? 32 or 64 ounces would be great!
What has happened to Meh? Two for Tuesday was $10 for two insulated mugs, now their $9.50 each. Bring back the old Meh, before they entered the high faluting wine crowd. We miss the old Meh.

@dylanjstewart The Amazon bullet points include
You don’t even need to run the dishwasher, just put the lid into it. You believe them, don’t you? (Please ignore their typo in the bullet point.)
I would pay to see something different for sale on here…
@somf69 I get the sentiment, but at least these are new.
@somf69 we already paying…$5 a month…
@givemehdeal well some of us are anyway…
For the record, these do not say “Meh” on them, which is disappointing.
@jhinra THIS.
16 ounces!? What kind of beleaguered, bedraggled, blinkered and bummed-out barbarian drinks coffee in anything less than 32oz increments?
No bubba, no sale.
the increasingly irreverent bullet points.
I showed this to my wife, and then she threatened to kill me and feed me to ravens. I think she might go for some speaker docks though.
@smartr … Nice… At least yours warns you. That’s a plus!
Will these protect my balls?
Honest question: is “Isabel” printed on the cup anywhere? It’s the spelling of my daughter’s name and I always buy anything with her name on it because it’s hard to find stuff with that spelling on it
@CraigDanger From the pictures, I’d say no. Not even in tiny writing on the bottom of them. THE SEARCH CONTINUES!
@legnip I guess I just have to change her name to “BPA-FREE”
No! Bubba or nothing! I mean, I think. I’m not sure. How do these compare to the mind-bendingly excellent Bubba awesomeness?
@MehDog way worse. And Bubba is < Contigo by a mile.
@michaelahess Contigo durabilty is OK but their parts fall off and they seem to insist on have appendages sticking up from the top.
@RedOak if you receive a mug with an arm or leg sticking out the top of the lid, I’d recommend requesting an RMA. And maybe calling the cops!
12000 visitors but sold only 50?
@lilsrm123 “you can fool some people, some of the time…but you can’t fool all the people all the time”
Snark aside, this really is a shamefully bad deal. Some buyer got totally suckered on this one, unless you’ve marked them up 200%. I’m honestly surprised and saddened at this one.
How about a 20oz Contigo instead?
$5.99 with free Ship to Store at Target (and possibly available at your local store).
https://www.target.com/p/contigo-snapseal-byron-stainless-travel-mug-20oz/-/A-14900029
Or $7.00 for the same one in ‘Greyed Jade’ at Amazon and available for Prime shipping.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IR77HG8
@cinoclav also 5% off and free shipping with a Target red card
@chienfou I didn’t mention those things because RedCard users better know they get the 5%. Even using the card, you still have to hit the $25 minimum to have it shipped to you but Ship to Store is free regardless of the size of the order.
@cinoclav that’s true, I mentioned as an FYI for those that may not know about redcard. BTW is the shipping thing new? I’ve bought stuff before that shipped free for ≤ $25…
@cinoclav But is it dishwasher safe?
@chienfou They went the way of Amazon last April and started naming some stuff as ‘add on’ items requiring the $25 minimum.
https://slickdeals.net/f/10120472-psa-target-redcard-free-shipping-to-change-4-25-2017-select-items-may-require-a-minimum-purchase
@emt305 The top is top-rack dishwasher safe. It suggests hand washing the bottom.
I once had a cellmate named Bubba. He was a tall drink of water. A real rough-and-tumble dude. “Quiero tomar café contigo,” I said. Didn’t end well, and I ended up in a vacuum-insulated, leak-proof, unheated hospital cell nicknamed “The Igloo.”
righty-tighty-whitey?
lefty-loosey-goosey?
@f00l what are you… Some kinda racist/speci-ist??
Hmmm… Amazon reviews on a similar one are sparse. I pine for the meh-Contigo times of old.
@amillar7 I pine far more dearly for the meh-Bubba days. We love our Bubbas!
@RedOak Too bad Bubba closed shop. Our lids kept breaking & they couldn’t just sell or give replacement lids, they thought they needed to send you a whole cup/lid set. Can’t keep a business going that way. Loved that they were dishwasher safe though. Are these?
@emt305 - This explains why I haven’t been able to replace my favorite Bubba cup. Now I’m sad.
@emt305 where are you getting the impression Bubba Brands “closed shop”?
They appear to be very alive. Their site is up. They are still a Newell/Rubbermaid company.

Very Un-Rubbermaid-like.
/giphy squalid-clingy-coil
First items I’ve bought from here in almost a year now, Been needing a new tumbler for my coffee for a while now.
Don’t make me regret this purchase meh
These are crap. Contigo or GTFO!
@michaelahess bubba wants a word with you
@Lazarpandar Bubba can shove it. My kids broke those, never a Contigo! And my god are the Bubba lids crap. I really do love the actual mug part though.
@michaelahess I agree…my whole family has Contigo west loops and they rock…esp now since i have the new EZ clean lids on them…
You’ve been terrible the last 6 months.
But then you redeem yourself by including the link to your favorite self help book under the Pictures section: https://www.amazon.com/How-Good-bye-Depression-Constrict-Everyday/dp/0595094724
Tight
@AccusingEwe Other people who looked at this product also looked at a 55 gallon barrel of goo
@AccusingEwe At least according to Amazon.
@rtjhnstn kinda expensive. For $98 plus shipping you can buy 7 bottles of powdered lube that makes roughly the same amount as that giant drum. Just add water.

FALSE! Espresso is coffee. This is my all time favorite coffee-related meh video.
@medz lol
WTF Igloo??? Yeti got you beat these days…
I do not drink coffee so no use for these. I’ll stick with my Orca Yeti and Contigo cups.
@bleedmichigan FWIW these have been known to keep drinks cold as well!

@lbrooks15 Hand wash only is printed very small on the bottom.
@legnip Thank you for reading all of the fine print for me

Model number math is off by an order of magnitude.
Yo, I bought this. Get on my level.
@Xacto01
/giphy level up!
When you have cups like these it is Mandatory you list how many hours cold and how many hours hot. I am not seeing this anywhere so no sale.
@dino2269 I want to make sure we get accurate numbers for you. Please answer the following.

I am OCD and will buy just about EVERYTHING en masse, and yet after 13 years I now weep for woot, and I am starting to weep for meh.
Please don’t force me out into the world of…do I dare say it?
Brick and Mortar.
@Woody1 Meh used to be cool, man.
I Love my Bubba’s and should have contacted them when I broke a lid. The problem I am noticing now, is that mine aren’t keeping the coffee hot, even with preheating./cry
Why the hell can’t we have one of each color? If you’ll do this for me, staff, I’ll buy one.
