That said, I’ve been a cotton guy my whole life, but I’ve got a couple of Under Armour tees that are polyester, breathe, wick sweat away, and don’t stink. I assume that is some special thing they do. I’m not buying polyester sheets.
@boygenius1991 I saw it. Figured I’d leave a truncated review here in case people view it on mobile. I know I can’t always see the writeup when I check the daily deal on my cell.
Pretty cool to be famous. This must be how Leonardo DiCaprio feels. Thanks for the shoutout, meh.
I also have under armor undershirts and duluth trading company underwear as well that say they’re 100% polyester and they’re pretty great. They breathe, wick sweat, etc. I think it has something to do with the pattern used. The duluth trading company fabric has a tessellated rhombus thing on it with some high sections and some low. I’m not sure what under armor does to treat their fabric, but it works pretty well too.
I think if you had a whole sheet of those materials draped over you while you sleep, it would probably make you sweat too.
If you bought them and they work for you, more power to you. For people who bought and enjoyed these sheets, are you on the slim side? I’m a little heavy, so tend to overheat easily regardless of circumstance. Just posting my personal experience, as one does on a consumer products site.
@boygenius1991 I am not buying these sheets but loved the write-up. I do have some microfiber sheets though and do not seem to have a sweat issue with them.
And although I am over a hundred pounds slimmer than a few years ago, I am still probably another hundred away from anyone calling me slim.
@boygenius1991 so… you about another 100 lbs away from not telling people that random sheets will make them sweat at night because they are not cotton?
@mfladd Even now, the cool, silky smoothness that awaits my fatigued body beckons from yonder bedroom. I submit myself nightly to the seductress known as my Cotton Touch Microfiber Sheet Set. She embraces and comforts me nightly into a sound slumber. I bid you goodnight for she calls to me and I must answer.
@Baybay11@PlacidPenguin I thought I’d bought them last time until I looked it up and I had bought the “fabulous flannel micro-flannel sheet sets” which everyone said would be horrible but I love.
@Kidsandliz@shortman Cotton has a high moisture regain. Polyester has a moisture regain of zero. That makes a big difference. Fibers like Coolmax are polyester with special shapes for wicking but I doubt this is Coolmax.
@boygenius1991@JT954 I grew up sleeping on cotton/polyester sheets because they didn’t wrinkle and my mom, at the time, believed in ironing wrinkled sheets. None of us in the family complained about being hot and sweaty. Many, many shirts, dresses, etc. people wear are a cotton polyester mix and they don’t stink up the work place nor walk around looking like they are sweating as if they just ran a marathon. Tons of the coverings on couches and chairs are that fabric mix too. Fleece blankets and jackets are 100% polyester and no one complains about being hot and sweaty because they are made of polyester fleece…
@Kidsandliz compare a cotton/poly blend shirt to one that doesn’t have any polyester in it. I guarantee you, even if you don’t sweat, you will be much cooler in the non-polyester one.
Fleece jackets do make you hot. That’s why they’re jackets. Y’know, for cold weather…
@boygenius1991 I own both kinds of t-shirts. I see no difference when I wear them. In fact I have to look at the label to tell the difference with most of them.
Eh, not the best sheets I’ve ever bought, but not the worst. I get very hot at night and I haven’t had a problem with sweating in the sheets. A little pilling though.
I got these last time here at Meh and they are my new go to sheet. Even in warm California. Love them and might even get some more for the guest room, friends, family. Nothing at all wrong with these. Wife even likes them.
Don’t worry…with the trade war coming, American made cotton will be back and this Asian stuff will be too expensive for Woot to sell! Make American Cotton Again?
Pro tip: before using these sheets, run them through the washer with liquid fabric softener. Dry on medium heat. When you slide yourself between these silky smooth, better-than-cotton touch sheets, you’ll thank me.
Just once I want to see a polyester touch cotton sheet set.
do not buy. polyester, not cotton. will make you sweat and stink in 30 seconds.
@boygenius1991 You should read the write up.
@boygenius1991 “will make you sweat and stink in 30 seconds”
@boygenius1991 Seriously. You should read it.

@thechinglish oh no, you figured out how old I am. what gave it away?
is it a stereotype about young people that they never get cold?
@boygenius1991 I am not buying these sheets but loved the write-up. I do have some microfiber sheets though and do not seem to have a sweat issue with them.

@ponagathos I thought the writeup was pretty funny too. That’s super. Good luck with your weight loss.
@boygenius1991 Thanks
@boygenius1991 so… you about another 100 lbs away from not telling people that random sheets will make them sweat at night because they are not cotton?
@boygenius1991 @craigthom Those fabrics have a special fiber cross-section. These sheets? I dunno.
@sammydog01 None of us know, so saying definitively either way is just a guess.
Got these last time. Now our king bed really is fit for a king. These breathable, luxurious sheets are both soft and smooth.
@medz

@mfladd @medz is just shooting for another set of freebies like the hairbrushes. (Oh, and congrats on the hairbrushes!)
Are these the ones you sold last time? I usually hate microfiber, but love those… if they’re the same, i’ll take some more.
@Baybay11
Yes they are.
@Baybay11 @PlacidPenguin I thought I’d bought them last time until I looked it up and I had bought the “fabulous flannel micro-flannel sheet sets” which everyone said would be horrible but I love.
Meh, let me sleep on it.
Tomorrow! I love you tomorow. Your just a day a way.
What’s up with the guy with the metal detector? Am I missing a joke?
Sheets happen.
@phendrick ugh
I almost ordered them because of “T.S. Mehliot”. That’s good shit guys.
Polyester sheets make me sweat. I do that even without sheets.
@shortman Therefore cotton sheets would make you sweat. Bamboo sheets would make you sweat. Wool sheets would make you sweat. And etc.
@Kidsandliz @shortman Cotton has a high moisture regain. Polyester has a moisture regain of zero. That makes a big difference. Fibers like Coolmax are polyester with special shapes for wicking but I doubt this is Coolmax.

polyesterfleece…@Kidsandliz “Fleece blankets and jackets are 100% polyester and no one complains about being hot…”
Really?
“Ovens have a heating element in them and no one complains about them being hot!”
@Kidsandliz compare a cotton/poly blend shirt to one that doesn’t have any polyester in it. I guarantee you, even if you don’t sweat, you will be much cooler in the non-polyester one.

@Kidsandliz fair enough. Generally speaking, do you have much trouble staying physically cool when you go about your day’s activities?
@boygenius1991 Depends on the ambient temperature.
Eh, not the best sheets I’ve ever bought, but not the worst. I get very hot at night and I haven’t had a problem with sweating in the sheets. A little pilling though.

frog it, I’ll get some stank sheets. They finna go in da basement anyway. Do these shed cat hair as easily as my cats do?
Sheets - meh new sheets
For the love of God, will meh ever sell anything that fits a cal King?
@jayman007 Just have your butler knit you some sheets.
@jayman007 Agreed, and I need a new set due to the cat claws.
Shouldn’t it be “Don’t Sweat The Ball Stuff”?
@Dweezle It’s don’t pet the sweaty things in life.
I got these last time here at Meh and they are my new go to sheet. Even in warm California. Love them and might even get some more for the guest room, friends, family. Nothing at all wrong with these. Wife even likes them.
I believe in @boygenius1991
Aww dang no Twin XL. I refuse to migrate to an average bedding lifestyle!
Don’t worry…with the trade war coming, American made cotton will be back and this Asian stuff will be too expensive for Woot to sell! Make American Cotton Again?
I don’t want something that makes me sweat so I have to pass.
@JT954 Gonna make you sweat?
@JT954 @narfcake
You gotta make it last forever …
I don’t need sheets, but if you could sell me a box spring at that price…
Agreed… what is up with the metal detector dude.
No sheets to give.
Do these repel blood?
The words cotton touch, microfiber, and polyester do not belong in a description of bed sheets
Smelly sheets, smelly sheets what are they feeding you?
Smelly sheets, smelly sheets it’s not your fault…
Pro tip: before using these sheets, run them through the washer with liquid fabric softener. Dry on medium heat. When you slide yourself between these silky smooth, better-than-cotton touch sheets, you’ll thank me.

@TheMonkeyKing That went much more g rated than anticipated.
@TheMonkeyKing Sometimes you just need your tail pulled.
in @boygenius1991 I will trust.
They are thin, but work fine during our Burning Season in Northern California. Glad I got them.
