Is a Russian diamond an actual diamond that came from Russia or is it a euphemism for something else? I’m not going to buy this either way but I’m curious.
So what exactly is a “gold-filled setting” - what does the gold fill? some area created by some other substance? a void in space filled with the gold? And how do they color it? I don’t buy much (any) jewelry - these are actually serious (probably dumb, but serious) questions.

@stolicat I think that “gold filled” is opposed to “gold plated”, meaning that it’s not just a thin layer of gold on top of nickel?
