Godsdamnit, man. Even having said below that I wouldn’t count, I found myself in a moment of weakness and just had to know. We’ve been munching on these little guys for a few days (not like crazy, though, because both of us are in the process of dental work that makes the nuttiness temporarily problematic), so I can’t be 100% sure, but our current count is around 123. I’m pretty sure we didn’t eat 27 that quickly, maybe 10 at the most.
I’m still glad we made the purchase, but it’s a little disappointing and slightly disconcerting that the fill is random. What gives, meh?

While I was aware that there would be a possibility of missing a couple of bars with the way it was all dumped in the box, I must admit I was not expecting that many to be missing. That’s about 18% loss and there’s been no one in the house for the 2 days since these were delivered, so it isn’t a matter of unaccounted for shrinkage, unless the mice have been hoarding.

Only 3-4g sugar out of 5-7g net carbs is pretty darn low for a sweet snack without any sugar alcohols or artificial sweeteners. I’ve been doing the “lazy dirty keto” thing and getting the full-size version of these (or the Trader Joe’s equivalent, which I’m pretty sure Kind makes for them anyway) as a tide-over/late-night snack, suits me fine as a lower-carb candybar alternative.
