@BethanyAnne i still have my 12 pack of stroops. SITTING THERE waiting for me to eat sugary snacks again. I’m down about 7 lbs in 2 weeks. Not so terrible. Keto is the only diet which has consistently worked for me.
@djslack seriously, a buck for an oz of cheese puffs is fine if I’m just buying a bag for lunch. But if I’m buying them in bulk from meh, it’s disappointing.
Maybe Keto is the new way to say vastly overpriced.
@djslack It’s been decades since I was at the State Fair in Big D, but IIRC, the treats along the midway there wouldn’t include anything with as low a caloric output as fried air. Unless, as you alluded, you could get a really good batter to adhere. (Batter with lots of butter, of course.)
@boeing377 11 oz for 12 bags; pricy for a generic snack food (Cheesy Poofs) but not bad at all for a Keto snack bag, there’s a fair bit of protein in these.
I always knew some diabolical health food tyrant wants to ruin all good food and replace it with healthy stuff like … KETO!!! Don’t let the tyrant control your snacks too.
They contain sunflower oil. I’ve cut all polyunsaturated fats (PUFA oils) out of my diet … sticking with coconut, avocado, evoo, palm oil, butter, ghee, lard, etc.
Very difficult to find savory snacks with the latter, unfortunately, buy my blood work says I’m much healthier and I’ve lost belly fat and the under chin pooch (but where does belly fat go when it leaves? cause i still weigh the same).
Everyone has different tastes - these were simply awful to me. I tried the Hot and Sour Cream and Onion earlier this year and they were simply disgusting. I had 2 bags of each and threw the rest away they were so bad. (I’ve tried ton’s of these low carb snacks before - so my expectations were already really low). The initial flavor is VERY artificial tasting (even worse than standard cheese puffs) and the after taste lingers.
Again, everyone has different tastes.
This is probably a good way to try these though if you’ve been interested. If you order through their website and choose to subscribe to get the pretty hefty discount, it’s really difficult to cancel the subscription. You have to talk to customer service and it took 3 separate conversations for them to actually cancel it. I personally have an issue with companies that put unnecessary hurdles in place to keep people locked in.
I like these and they are bariatric friendly for those of us who have had surgery. Other brands are a little better but for the price I recommend these. Very crunchy!
Got mine today (not sure why Meh shipped them so fast but I’m sure that’s an oversight that will be corrected).
BBQ - my favorite of the three, nice balance of flavors, and a little spicy
Hot - not terrible, spicy and sour, but ruined by vinyl swimming pool aftertaste
Cheddar Jalapeño - no good, I think they forgot to put any seasoning on mine. Just flavorless crunch turds. I had to bust out my emergency cheddar cheese powder to save them
@Bumplepimp
Some of the things like this don’t so much digest as perform a forced march through the GI tract, driving everything ahead of it triple-time. In that case, “open, pour and flush” is the only rational choice.
Welp I just got these. They are nice and spicy. There is a strange aftertaste, though. I would actually describe it as reminiscent of spoiled milk. I’m glad I got all 3 flavors, but I probably wouldn’t do again.
Oh, they are made of milk, like that weird cereal …
The regular size frito lay bags that you see at convenience stores are 2.75 oz(not the smaller multipack ones people buy for kids lunches and not the family size ones.) They’re usually $1
89/$1.99 so I don’t think this is unreasonable. I have no idea what they taste like though.
I take that back; it’s all one flavor. Eh, still cheese-based, which moves into my “not by choice” category, but the S.O. might like the BBQ. (Fiery Hot and Jalapeno Cheddar, not so much.)
I would probably try these in a more neutral flavor or maybe cheddar (without jalapeno). I guess “neutral” might not work because they have to hide the fact that you are eating salty fried milk protein, apparently.
I’m pretty sure I won’t like any of the flavors. Therefore I wish there was a “variety” pack so I can try each one and decide which one is the worst. Honestly, I would actually buy the pack to try it that way. I’ll try almost anything once, or 12 times if it comes in a case I guess.
@stevenmontes Oh yeah, forgot to mention that in my post above. My boxes look like yours and smell like rancid vegetable oil. Product is fine, sealed in the bags.
Cheddar Jalapeno taste terrible lol. It’s got an OK crunch, but is meh sure these things didn’t get improperly stored? Like honestly not an appealing flavor at all, like some sort of flavor experiment gone wrong (or rancid).
@Shepard I think the expectation was that they would taste like their counterparts. To me, they are not that good, but if I adjust my expectations, they are okay. Have you ever had cheese crisps that they sell as chip alternatives? They taste very similar to Parmesan ones… like these:
cheddar jalapeno was the only one i didnt buy… the other two are yummy. I like them much better than parm chips which can get boring real fast and sometimes too tangy. I will buy these again when they are available.
I got some of the Cheddar Jalipeno. They look just like Cheetos puffs. Unfortunately, they taste very unpleasant. I’ve had trouble getting through 2 bags.
@cprimrose
Bacon, steak, eggs, cheese, pecans, almonds, macadamias, walnuts, and a whole lot of non-starchy vegetables are all keto. But the vast majority of the processed foods aimed at the keto market are unutterable crap.
I got these for my wife who is doing Keto. She tasted and them and said they were terrible, so I brought them in to work for my co workers to sample. Not one person who has tried them has liked them. I would say they are at best mediocre. If this comes up again I would give it a hard pass
Aw, hell yeah. I’ve been doing keto since May. Down 50 lbs so far. Finally snacks I can eat instead of those evil tempting stroopwafflen
/giphy guided-busy-word
@BethanyAnne Congrats on the hard work paying off!!!
@TimW Thanks! It’s so nice to be able to stand for longer than 5 minutes.
@BethanyAnne i still have my 12 pack of stroops. SITTING THERE waiting for me to eat sugary snacks again. I’m down about 7 lbs in 2 weeks. Not so terrible. Keto is the only diet which has consistently worked for me.
I love cheesy poofs!
@Num1Zero, did ya mean ‘puffs’, or are ya just being sarcastic again¿?

Flavored packing peanuts for those with peanut allergies?
In case 100 calories isn’t a clue, these are 0.92oz single serving bags. I didn’t see in the specs but I found a pic to zoom in on.
Also the nutrition label is a pic of the back of the bag and that is in the specs, so technically I guess it is there.
@djslack Was wondering that. Thank you for finding it. Wow. That is some expensive air.
@djslack seriously, a buck for an oz of cheese puffs is fine if I’m just buying a bag for lunch. But if I’m buying them in bulk from meh, it’s disappointing.
Maybe Keto is the new way to say vastly overpriced.
Do these come out of an air fryer? They look like fried air.
Actually, for snacks, I’m holding out for candy corn.
@phendrick mmmmm… Fried air. What kind of batter do they use for that? It’s State Fair season, I sense a new midway hit.
@djslack It’s been decades since I was at the State Fair in Big D, but IIRC, the treats along the midway there wouldn’t include anything with as low a caloric output as fried air. Unless, as you alluded, you could get a really good batter to adhere. (Batter with lots of butter, of course.)
@phendrick heckin’ yeah, I could get behind like, 10lbs of candy corn right now.
@Konraden @phendrick Meh, forgive them, for they know not what they ask.
@phendrick exactly. Battered fried air is the new State Fair healthy choice! I’m glad we’re on the same page.
How about a nice butter sauce to dip it in. Organic and non GMO (at least the .001% butter parts of it). For health of course.
@phendrick Air fried candy corn?
Styrofoam snacks? Awe some!
Try mooncheese instead, has no weird stuff in it. It’s pretty good, and 20% off sale right now. Satisfies the crunch/savory/umami thing.

Do these make you blow mud?
edit: I guess I’ll find out…bought one of each flavor

@rcgrams
wash your hands before you try those snacks…
@rcgrams Oh, man, piglets are soooo cute when they’re little!
@rcgrams This reminded me that pork rinds are a cheaper keto snack.
@chienfou @rcgrams, if they are anything like Cheetos you likely have to wash your face & hands After ya eat these!!
@CBL_WV @rcgrams & very tasty when they’re pork skins!
/giphy discouraged-bulbous-volcano
@alose Is that the “after” picture?
So lame hiding the weight. Come on Meh. Don’t be so sleazy.
@boeing377 11 oz for 12 bags; pricy for a generic snack food (Cheesy Poofs) but not bad at all for a Keto snack bag, there’s a fair bit of protein in these.
@boeing377 @CBL_WV 28% of your daily protein in a 1 oz bag!?!?
9 pics but no nutrition label shot - really?

I always knew some diabolical health food tyrant wants to ruin all good food and replace it with healthy stuff like … KETO!!! Don’t let the tyrant control your snacks too.
I have been doing keto/Adkins off and in for years. This was an easy sell for me. Now find a way to ship me some good keto ice cream.
I messaged my wife if she wanted these and this is what she replied: “Those are horrible. Horrrrrrrible. Those are the ones I returned.”
@brasscupcakes You probably developed muscle mass instead.
@brasscupcakes I would guess a lot of it may have been inflammation!
@brasscupcakes it’s not like carb, but I’ve seen potato chips fried in avocado oils. And some fried in lard.
Everyone has different tastes - these were simply awful to me. I tried the Hot and Sour Cream and Onion earlier this year and they were simply disgusting. What is the net weight?
@joeywolf Ne’mind; found it: .92 oz/bag. That means a regular bag of Cheetos Puffs would cost $7!!
@joeywolf 12 bags at .92oz/bag = 11.04 oz. It’s still a good price for a Keto snack food. (IMO.)
/giphy favorable-lapping-jar
@emci13 That is not a fail.
Since this is meh.com, I’m pretty sure these will arrive as nothing but 1oz of crumbs in the bottom of each bag.
@TimW
…of which 0.08 oz. will be shards of air broken by FedEx in transit.
I like these and they are bariatric friendly for those of us who have had surgery. Other brands are a little better but for the price I recommend these. Very crunchy!
I’m digging the Keto Cheeto Chaplin example.
Got mine today (not sure why Meh shipped them so fast but I’m sure that’s an oversight that will be corrected).

they all have a decent crunch so there’s that
overall, I’d give them a 4 out of 10

These are actually good. This company also make a really delicious keto breakfast cereal.
Skip the pesky digestion process, open, pour and flush.
@Bumplepimp
Some of the things like this don’t so much digest as perform a forced march through the GI tract, driving everything ahead of it triple-time. In that case, “open, pour and flush” is the only rational choice.
I’ll give it a shot. I’m on a mostly keto diet.

Perfect giphy for a keto snack.
Terrible. Gross first time I’ve ever felt a purchase from meh was not worth it.
Welp I just got these. They are nice and spicy. There is a strange aftertaste, though. I would actually describe it as reminiscent of spoiled milk. I’m glad I got all 3 flavors, but I probably wouldn’t do again.
Oh, they are made of milk, like that weird cereal …
This tasted just like how I imagine deep fried leather tastes like, really meh experience.
@zsunsun
Pork rinds are closer to actual deep fried leather, and they’re FAR more palatable.

I’ve had the hot flavor, they’re fine. I guess people who are “keto” might find some value at $1 for a small serving, but that’s not me
The regular size frito lay bags that you see at convenience stores are 2.75 oz(not the smaller multipack ones people buy for kids lunches and not the family size ones.) They’re usually $1
89/$1.99 so I don’t think this is unreasonable. I have no idea what they taste like though.
And once again, preset flavor assortments guaranteed that there would be one that was a dealbreaker.
I take that back; it’s all one flavor. Eh, still cheese-based, which moves into my “not by choice” category, but the S.O. might like the BBQ. (Fiery Hot and Jalapeno Cheddar, not so much.)

Wow, they’ve sold a lot of these, and in every state but Hawaii!
Where’s the regular cheese? I just want plain Jane flavors!
Too late for jalapeno.
/giphy darling-obtuse-position
Dying minutes of this, I’ll give it a shot. Not on keto but these look like an excellent source of protein
@Chuseph14
And probably tastier high-protein air than the stuff in the Everglades that is 7% mosquitoes.
Did anyone else have their snack boxes (not the shipping box) arrive stained and damp with a bad smell??
@stevenmontes Oh yeah, forgot to mention that in my post above. My boxes look like yours and smell like rancid vegetable oil. Product is fine, sealed in the bags.
@stevenmontes mine arrived in very good shape in an outer box
Cheddar Jalapeno taste terrible lol. It’s got an OK crunch, but is meh sure these things didn’t get improperly stored? Like honestly not an appealing flavor at all, like some sort of flavor experiment gone wrong (or rancid).

@samnsara click on the picture
Got them yesterday. The BBQ are good.
The Flaming Hot are not nearly that hot, and have sort of a cheetos aftertaste, but on the first bite.
I got some of the Cheddar Jalipeno. They look just like Cheetos puffs. Unfortunately, they taste very unpleasant. I’ve had trouble getting through 2 bags.
@dpease updating myself here: I finally opened the BBQ and they’re quite a bit better.
What they said. I am not trying a Keto diet if this is an example.
@cprimrose
